Good idea but not there yet
So I was quite disappointed with the device for various reasons, some minor, others more serious:1) If you don't have a USB port on your router you will need to plug the Haandle into a phone charger2) The handle only works with devices connected to wifi so if your child has a console connected via ethernet3) Almost all the blocking functionalities are already available on my Virgin router so the Haandle is redundant4) The wifi quality is extremely bad and our devices kept on dropping from the network5) you will have to change the password on your existing wifi to prevent your child to keep on using it and connect all your devices to the Haandle router6) you cannot make any changes remotely, you need to be in the house to make changes so if you blocked wifi access and your teenager calls you at work you won't be able to grant him access remotely#4 is clearly the most annoying issueTo sum it up, a very good idea with a nice design and a good customer support but the description should be a lot more accurate and the signal quality must be improved

Really useful gadget - not just for turning off the internet
We've had ours since April, in fact bought two of 'em - one for our son to use with his kids, and one for when they come over to stay at ours. Found it dead easy to set up and use; just plug two cables into the back of the home wifi, follow the included 'getting started' leaflet, connected the kids devices to the haandle wifi and away we went. Can set different rules to turn off the internet for each child separately (we've got one rule for the youngsters so the Android tablets they lug around with them get turned off at 6:30pm - presto! no more paw patrolling just before bedtime - and one for the elder two who get a bit more leeway until theirs are blocked off from the internet about 10pm. Pretty straightforward to do, and I gather 'mum and dad' have a more elaborate setup to turn devices at different times, depending on whether its a weekend or a school night. A really nifty feature is that you can limit what content can be accessed on which device; theres a slider on the page for each connected phone or tablet to limit the content it can access to one of three settings - under 12s, early teens and 'young adults' - so you've that little extra peace of mind when the kids are out of sight that they're not able to stumble across some of the nastier stuff on the web and theres even an option to force Google searches to go through the 'kid safe' version. I see from the website that there are apps for both Android and iPhones to use the service outside of the home as well; very cool. All in all we're all really pleased with the haandle. A bit of initial outlay and setting up, but the peace of mind it brings is well worth the price (even though I ended up funding 2 ;-)

Does not work!
This product did not work! It was impossible to set the parent log in on it and therefore it was not possible to set any "blackout" times or anything else useful. It was visible on the network, but because it was impossible to set up parent log it could not be connected.Haandle has no contact number and frankly no customer service - certainly nobody ever responded to any of the email messages I sent.If all you want is a little box which has a pretty green glow to it, then buy it. If you want something that allows you to limit your children's time on the internet or to block unsuitable websites, then don't bother with it. It most certainly does not do what it says on the box!

Only works on mobile phones - avoid if wanting for console
Absolutely loved the idea of this device as it would allow me as a parent to set firm boundaries and rules for internet usage - initial set up for mobile phones went fine and worked perfectly, however after following all instructions (as well as googling for assistance) to set up on kids playstations the device just wouldn’t work. I tried multiple times, emailed the company for advice several times with no single response - had it not been for a family emergency meaning I missed the return deadline I would have returned it as faulty. The only positive about this is I’m only £30 out of pocket rather than the initial £99 it was on sale forI’ve since subscribed to sky broadband buddy which does what it is supposed to

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS. I bought this to try and put time limits on my kids devices. What a waste of money. If I could give zero stars i would. No customer service is available for these people at all, despite contacting them via email loads of times I never even got an acknowledgement from anyone. I couldn't get it to work at all, it wouldnt connect to the internet no matter what I tried. Waste of time and money. There are alternatives available that may be more expensive but at least youd manage to get hold of someone in customer services to help with any issues. I cant understand why amazon are still even selling these. Dont buy it.

Could not use
Sadly we could not use the product as our hub does not have a USB connection to power it up. We tried different leads but the box only works with lead provided.

Lovely tool to help curb an internet addict
Have had it for a week and it is doing a marvellous job of limiting our daughters internet usage, we have a lovely daughter now as opposed to the grumpy internet addict. The set up was easy. Just remember to change the password for your normal WiFi. However one complaint is the app does not work on her phone as yet to limit the phone accessing WiFi outside the house. Therefore four stars.

A Must Buy For All Parents!
We needed to control our children’s internet access as we have four children who use various phones, tablets and gaming machines. This product works brilliantly and I can’t recommend it enough. We have set time limits for internet access on each device that we want to control and they work extremely easily and effectively. The best thing about this is that the kids have really embraced us limiting their access and I firmly believe they are better behaved and are learning quickly that whilst the internet is fantastic for them, there are also other things in life that they enjoy doing!Well done to all at Haandle for this brilliant invention
