Classical Collection

4 stars because I didn't know this was the UK version and not the US version. The opening song is different than what we have over here. It's not bad, just different voices. Reccomend keeping the case nearby to reference the songs.

We borrowed the Musical Missions CD from the library a few weeks ago and listened to it ad nauseum...until we had to return it and I knew my daughter would miss it, so I got this CD to arrive the next day. Although the theme song is not the American show's version (which seemed odd to both of us upon first hearing it), the rest of the CD consists of just the actual classical songs and not speaking parts from the show. This is great, especially since we listen to it mostly in the car. My little one has come to love all of these songs, as have I and she has such an immense interest in music and instruments, largely due to this favorite show of hers.

I like this because my son absolutely loves Little Einsteins and there's practically zero merchandise out there for it. The music is classical, which is nice for him to listen to and get excited about. I didn't realize that this was the British version, though. It only affects the first song, which is the theme song to the episodes, but the kids don't sound anything like what he's used to hearing.

The opening theme song is from the British version but my daughter has never mentioned it being weird. She LOVES listening to all of the classical music. It calms her and also gets her excited at times. She evens asks me, "mommy, which song is this one?" And I have to repeat back the name of the song and the composer- eek! Lol, but it's good for both of us.

I'm a retired elementary music teacher. The DVD of this is the next best thing to a great music time. This DVD skillfully teaches, language, rhythm, singing, movement, art, geography, instruments, problem solving, cooperation, traveling around the world, under water, in the clouds, over all terrain. If you can't get your child in a music class, get this DVD and partiicipate with them on a daily basis. Fabulous would be an understatement!!! This is a wonderful baby gift!

My daughter who is nearly 2 1/2 absolutely loves Little Einstein's. Everyday she essentially lives out their adventures. She is always saying " Big Jet is coming we need to get to the treasure" or something related to getting the mouse to the moon. Its her obsession.She LOVES this compilation of familiar songs that are featured prominently in the show. She tells me which story goes with every track. Absolutely must buy for all Little Einstein fans!

Santa left this on my son's car seat and he was so thrilled to get it! I actually listen to it when my kids aren't in the car with me too. Great collection for classical music appreciators. I was worried that the 'UK version' of the theme was going to be totally different but the only difference is the characters have a British accent. Quite cute :)

As soon as I hit play on the CD player my 2-year-old niece ran into the room and began to wave her arms around as if she was conducting an orchestra. She and her little brother absolutely love it! You can tell each piece was chosen because of its ability to keep the attention of little children. The music is vibrant and memorable, and, unlike those children's CDs with music that drive parents up the wall, it is pleasing to this adult's ears.

We bought this CD as a "night time" CD to listen to before bed. Our daughter had shown an interest in the Tv series, but we chose it mainly because the music played were the original pieces, and not a horrible, cheap version of the pieces of music.It's a wonderful CD with some of our favourite pieces on, and our daughter loves it. She recognises the music when its played elsewhere on Tv or Radio, and it's lovely to hear her hum along to them.If using as a relaxing night time CD, I recommend skipping the first track as it is the theme tune to the show, and a very upbeat, lively piece. But if using it throughout the day, it's great to zoom around the room to pretending to be a rocket! Or is that just us...? :)

I bought this for my very chatty year 4 class to play as they come into the classroom or whilst they are working quietly. It has really helped to calm and quieten my classroom during tricky transition times. I always skip track one and go straight to the classical tracks and the children seem to enjoy listening to them and will hum along quietly now they are more familiar with them.

Too bad the theme song has british voices. Took a while for my son to accept it. Also, having the episodes listed next to the titles would have been grand.
