Yes it is a sonic toothbrush but as far as I know even Dr Who does not have one of these.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This toothbrush not only looks different it works in a different way. We have for years now been using the Oral B rotary type brushes which are excellent an leave your teeth not only looking clean but feeling clean too so could these be as good or better? The differences do not stop there, the toothbrush is supplied with two brush heads rather than the normal 1 and also a tip protector. The brush can be put on the charger any way round you like, which makes life just that little bit easier. These brushes have 5 different ultrasonic cleaning modes called Clean, Sensitive, White, Gum Care and Soft. These seem pretty self-explanatory and Are reasonably easy to select. By default, if you let the toothbrush timeout after two minutes next time you turn it on it will be in the same mode. The ultrasonic action certainly seems to help with cleaning between your teeth but I think you will find that occasional flossing will still be needed. A feature of this brush is the very definite pause after every 30 seconds, the idea is that you brush your mouth in segments of a quarter each and the pauses tell you when to start on the next bit. After 2 minutes (the recommended brushing time) has elapsed the toothbrush turns off automatically. You do need to try and avoid touching the shaft of the toothbrush heads on your teeth as the jarring this causes is a bit annoying. Don't be put off though you will soon get the hang of it. At £40 for the toothbrush and £13.76 for a set of three replacement heads, this equipment is reasonably priced. The brush heads appear to be only a little more expensive than the Oral B own brand ones. These brushes are really well presented and should make great gifts, they also look pretty good in there smart gold colouring.

The brush cleans well and it holds its charge as promised. I just find it difficult to read what setting it is on as the print definition is not clear. Mine is rose gold.

This would make a lovely Christmas (or any time) present.
This elegant, sleek looking, rose gold toothbrush came beautifully packaged in a classy looking box, which was completely heat sealed in transparent plastic film. The 'body' of the brush and the two heads were lying cosily in black foam, with cut-out beds - and the charging base and the instruction manual were lying on black card in the base of the box.In the past, I have always bought a leading German brand of electric toothbrush, but I fancied a change - especially as the price of this brush was considerably less than my usual ones. I deliberated, but I'm glad I bought it. My old electric toothbrush has only one speed, and takes either a normal toothbrush-style head or a small plaque-removing head (of its own brand, or a cheaper generic one). I don't know if there is any difference between a sonic toothbrush or an ultrasonic toothbrush, and I did not really know what sonic meant in relation to toothbrushes, so I Googled it. An electric toothbrush makes rapid, automatic movements either in back and forth oscillation, or in rotational oscillation - where the head alternates between forward and backward rotation. Sonic just means its movements back and forth in a regular rhythm are at sonic speed, and I assume that means fast. The vibrating brush felt a bit odd at first, and it sounds different from what I'm used to. But it has grown on me, and my teeth certainly feel cleaner. The toothbrush is longer and thinner than my usual electric brush, and it has five different cleaning modes - Clean, Sensitive, Whitening, Gum Care, and Soft. There is a flush on/off button on the front, but no buttons for the five modes. Each mode has slightly indented wording in English and Chinese on the handle, and each mode lights up when touched. They each have a different sound, and a different vibration - but I can't, yet, remember which one I'm using! The change of mode can obviously be felt, but I find them not that easy to see, and am still moving the brush away from my mouth to see which mode I'm on. I tend to move up and down through all the modes, then I know I'm getting a good clean. When switched on the brush automatically goes to the last mode used and, every 30 seconds during cleaning there is very slight pause, which still surprises me every time. After two minutes it automatically turns off. None of the things I've mentioned detract from the function of this brush.... it's just a case of me getting used to a different product after many years of the same. In my opinion, the only adverse thing about this lovely brush is the cost of the replacement heads (£13.76 for 3 - ASIN B072NBSP3V). I could buy many new toothbrushes for that - but they would not have the same cleaning properties so, if anyone knows of a generic head that might fit this brush, please let me know via 'Comments'.

Very Good
Very good brush, virtually the same as a Phillips Sonicare. The only issue you will have is in obtaining replacement heads. The Phillips' head doesn't quite fit correctly, so be aware you may have issues with this brush. Overall this is a good brush at a fraction of the price of a Sonicare.
