Haven - Season 5 Volume 2: The Final Episodes [DVD]

Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster!Loved the entire series of Haven from episode 1 to the final episode; one of the best shows I have ever seen! Great characters, quality writing and perfectly cast. Best of all this final instalment is loaded with extras including some great commentary’s with the cast and crew 😁

Although this series was full of angst and emotional ups and downs we were drawn into really routing for the main characters. Just as you think the final ending is going to be so negative, it is switched around into positivity, although (spoiler alert) one of the heroes is sacrificed for the positive ending to manifest. This series was just about the right length. Any more and I think the script writers would have been racking their brains for more interesting story lines. Definitely a suspension of reality type of series but we like this sort of thing.

Bittersweet end to a great series. Will miss these characters. To be clear, this is a full season. Not sure why it is labeled 5 Volume 2. It isn't half of a season, it's a full 20+ episodes. They should have just called it Season 6. Silly Hollywood. :P

A couple of slowish episodes but otherwise a good end to the series. A couple of episodes are off the wall barking mad but its great. If you've got to 5.1 its worth getting this.We rationed ourselves to one episode a sitting to make it last longer.Shame there was no series 6.

A dramatic scenario for the end of the series. Haven is surrounded by fog - disappearing from maps and outsiders' memories as though it had never been. Meanwhile Troubles multiply, explosions adding to the chaos. Audrey, Nathan, Duke and Dwight are hard put to keep order, especially as two of them may inadvertently be responsible.Well done, all, who managed to keep up! Throughout this and previous seasons I found much to confuse, content simply to stay for the ride - entertained by certain storylines and several of the characters (not least quirky newspapermen brothers Dave and Vince). Then, of course, there were the impressively startling special effects.Creators, though, had a problem. With much so decidedly weird, how could they create a convincing reason for it all? Viewers may be divided over whether they have succeeded, some finding the whole Croatoan explanation ludicrous and trite, in no way justifying the carnage such a hallmark of the series.Generous bonuses include commentaries and a range of features (some that may surprise). Enjoyable are reminders of past catastrophes, cast selecting favourite storylines, featurettes on all thirteen episodes, and the star interviews (with a notable omission). I particularly liked Lucas Bryant's contribution, he unexpectedly amusing - he alarmed that in this final season he had so much to say. Previously he apparently had comparatively few words to learn, mainly brief reactions to others' utterances. Also noteworthy this time round was a long cherished ambition - he with an opportunity to direct. Very good Episode 4 is too as Audrey tried to escape from her stalker's woven fantasies.A mixture then. Much to applaud, but ultimately let down by the explanation of how all those Troubles came to be.

this show was seriously underrated, was a shame it finish, could have gone on for a else other 2 season.

I am hooked on series funny yet weird, DVDs all good and seem ok

Nirgendwo hatte ich diese Staffel bekommen, und wenn, dann nur zu utopischen Preisen. Diese hier war zu einem vernünftigen Preis, wurde schnell geliefert und ist trotz second hand im einwandfreien Zustand. Spitze!

Einfach genial bis zum Schluss. Obwohl ich die frühen Staffeln ein klein wenig besser finde, gibt es nichts daran auszusetzen. Und ich bin dankbar für jede Serie, die ein geplantes Ende findet.

Sehr spannend und unterhaltsam bis zur letzten Minute, diese Serie hat es wirklich in sich. Am Schluß würde man sooooo gern noch weiter schaun.....

Sich könnte das gleiche schreiben wie bei den anderen DVDs von Haven, Haven 1;2 sind die einziehen auf deutscher Sprache,und bin froh das ich wenigstens sie habe
