This is a really great looking alarm clock and so different to anything I've ever seen before. Before you switch it on it just looks like a piece of really nicely finished wood, then when you put the batteries in (or plug it into a USB socket) it springs into life and the time/date and day appear on the front. It comes with the USB cable that you need and a set of really good instructions, all the settings are done by three buttons on the rear of the alarm clock.I bought this for bedside table, my wife wanted something that would go with the ""Shabby Chic"" theme we have in the bedroom and this fits the bill perfectly.

I wanted to love this clock. I do like how it looks. Battery back up doesn't work so it has to be plugged in. There is no snooze button. It doesn't say in the description that it has one, but I've never had an alarm clock without one so I was surprised and disappointed. Spent an hour trying to get the alarms to work and they just weren't going off. Finally think I got it working but I don't trust it so I'll be using my phone as a back up and the whole reason I bought an alarm clock was to not be sleeping with my phone next to my head, so... You have to "BEEP" through setting the year, month, day, 24/12H setting, just to get to the first alarm. EVERY TIME. So that's a minimum of 11 beeps. Up to 17 if you are setting alarm 3. My husband goes to bed before I do and I wake up at different times each day so I set it right as I'm going to bed and all this beeping will definitely wake him up if I forget to do it earlier in the day/evening. May not be an issue for others, but it is for me. There is a - -:E setting that you have to have on or off. No idea what it's for since this step is not in the instructions at all. It seems that many of the reviews aren't even for this item. Many are for a cable for a lens cap. Others mention functions/buttons that are not on this clock, and some mention 1, 3, or 4 AAA batteries, so obviously people are talking about different models of this clock, or different clocks altogether. I'm going to try it tonight, but if I have to keep my phone near me anyway, it's defeating the purpose and I will probably return it. Plus I need my snooze button!

5 stars for this little alarm clock, I just love it. It is a very good looking clock, can't quite make out why but I think it is the simple style, it looks just like a block of black wood then you clap your hands or make some sort of sudden noise and it springs to life, the front lights up and tells the time, the date, day of the week and a feature I like is that it tells the temperature. You can use batteries, they are not supplied, or you can plug it into a USB port. The instructions are good and clear. There are just 3 buttons on the back to set the clock, alter the time etc. Recommended

The clock looks nice, but it constantly toggles between showing the time and the year. The year? I know what year it is. Just show me the time. It feels like every time I look at the clock for the time, it's showing the year and I have to wait 10 seconds for it switch back. Very annoying. The manual offers no instruction on how disable this feature if there is a way to do it. The reviewer that claims that you have to touch the clock to see the time is incorrect. You can set this clock to display all the time or when you touch it / clap.

If you’re interested in the clock because it’s cool looking, go for it. It’s true, it is cool looking. If you’re purchasing this clock because you need an alarm. No ma’am. You have to jump through a confusing 68 step hoop every single time you need an alarm. The alarm is not loud and has no volume and no snooze. I am so bummed. On the plus, my sixteen year old son is excited about his new super cool looking REGULAR CLOCK.

Love the clock. Instructions on keeping the display on all the time were not explained well. You need to make sure sound is off. If sound is on, then you have to touch or make sound greater than 60dB to make it come on. I clapped but it didn't come on, only touch.

It seems to be a good quality product and just what I was looking for. However, I returned it because I found it to be very difficult to set the various options and the instructions were poor.

I liked this and it looks great but wish there was a radio
