Oi Dinosaurs! (Oi Frog and Friends) Paperback – 5 Jun. 2025

hell yeah!! just another banger in a series of bangers, toddler loves this book as well as all others in series! 10/10

We love the other Oi! stories, and we were excited for this new one to be released so we could read to our toddler.In contrast to the previous books in the series, this feels as though it was written to fill a commercial gap for kids that like dinosaurs, rather than because the author had a great idea for a new book.This is for two reasons:1. The book has significantly less rhyming than other books. There is a higher proportion of non-rhyming story, and I imagine this was a conscious decision because of point 2.2. The rhyming sucks. There are only so many words that you can rhyme with the end of different dinosaur species - raptor, ocus, saurus, saur - so there is a limited number of rhymes that can be made. This has lead the author to make up words to rhyme with the dinosaur names, even with the minimal rhyming that occurs.This all feels very contrived...but, my toddler still likes it, so it isn't a total cop out.

The 'Oi' series is brilliant. Well worth it

If you’re a fan of the other books then this is a nice addition to the set. My 4 year old reallyLikes it. I personally don’t think it’s as good as the original oi cat/ oi dog/ oi frog but as we have them all I needed to get this one as well.

Another great oi book my children love and its one you can read again and again. Can't wait for the next one.

Not well written , I struggled to get through it . The rhymes suck and there is no narrative. I have hidden it so I don't have to put myself through it again.

We love this series of picture books. Such brilliant use of humour, rhyming, word-play and illustrations. They are such a great author and illustrator team. You could jump in here and enjoy it but you're missing out not to read the other books in the series too. So funny! Love it!

The book isn't great which we were disappointed about as we've loved all the others. There's a lot of blah blah in between the actual rhyming bits which the series is known for.Also our book was terrible quality. The printing was all smeared and two of the pages were stuck together and ripped as we turned the page.Have asked Amazon for a refund.
