How they are made: We take 100mm HR Johnson tiles and top with paper. They are finished with a special coating to protect them from daily use. Unlike varnish, this will not melt when a warm cup is placed on it and it will not yellow over time. They are finished on the bottom with white felt. We do not rush the making process, as doing so would compromise on quality and we want you to be using your coasters for years to come. Therefore they take 5 working days to create. Important information: Due to the nature of decoupage, the surface on the coasters may not be smooth. If you would prefer a smoother finish, please see our coasters made with fabric. Each coaster will be different and the photos show a representation only. You may find these coasters come with a chemical smell. This is from the production process and will quickly fade. Care instructions: The maximum heat that should be placed on these coasters is that from a cup with a hot beverage in it. Any spillages should be removed with a cloth and, if required, a non-abrasive cleaning liquid (we have tested ours with Dettol with no problems). Do not put them in the dishwasher or submerge in water. Keep your coasters out of direct sunlight to avoid fading. These coasters are ceramic and are likely to break if dropped.
