Blue Matter / A Step Further

Terrific live album , "A Step Further"
I still have A Step Further on vinyl , which I purchased about the time it was released . This is such a good live album and it captures the atmosphere of this band .Chris Youlden sounds a great front man . I never got to see this band play live back then , but have seen many many bands live at the end of the 60's and early 70's . This performance gives you some idea of what they were about . On this performance , they are definitely a great boogie band and were a decent group of musicians . I believe lead guitarist Kim Simmonds is still playing live music . I have not even got round to playing Blue Matter yet .

Open Eyes, Open Ears...
My word, this takes me back, to the front room at number 29... over 40 years ago !Savoy Brown Boogie (A Step Further) remains a stand-out live performance - worth it for that track alone, but still so much more to relish here.If you remember times like these, you'll love this.If you're looking for grade-A Brit-Blues, this delivers.

This is The Boogie..The Savoy Brown Boogie
Its really good To see That Savoy Brown albums Are being issued in a 2 Lp Set on cd...In Their Hey Day When Both These Albums were originally released they were an Awesome band to see Live. .Both Blue Matter and A Step Further Were Half Studio and Half Live Shame That Chris Youlden missed the former set owing to illness. However on "Step" he is brilliant...I Was Lucky enough to have been at The Cooks ferry Inn to Witness this Performance..The Savoy Brown Boogie Still Holds Up Today as a testament to just how Good They Were...No Album Collection Should be Without a Copy of This and at this price its a Steal.
