Skechers Men's Pilot Utility Boot

I am a fan of Skechers boots because they are very comfortable, look great and often available at very affordable prices for the style. My first pair of Skechers boots was the Skechers Mariners Pilot boots, and they were great. I wore them for a very long time. I decided now to make a purchase of black boots again, and I decided to get them again. Last time, I owned the regular width version. This time, I decided on getting the wide width which is 3E. I usually ty to get wider shoes and boots when I can, but sometimes one can't or they don; make them for a particular shoe or boot. I am use to wearing E and 2E shoes and boots. But, Skechers starts their wide at 3E which was a jump for me. When I put them on, I definitely noticed the 3E width. They were wider than expected, but they were not overly too wide for me. They actually fit fine. I just was not expecting to have them be 3E and feel so wonderful. I recommend these boots. They are quality made and look great with good style. They are very comfortable. I had not had any issue in the past with this model. They lasted a long time and wore well. I expect the same with this current new pair. And if you buy the wide width called EW it is 3E. If you go higher in width, their next width is Extra Wide called EWW and is 5E.

My son has a hard to fit or find shoe size 11 or 11.5 quad E. We needed to find him work boots and fast. We where searching on a Friday night and he had been hired and was expected to start work the following Monday. We searched 4 brick and mortar stores with no luck. We didn’t go to Amizon first as we were not sure we could get the boot delivered by Monday. However, we had no choice we searched and “Boom Baby!” These shoes appeared in my search. Correct length, width, steal toe box, and oh yes correct price. My son has worn them for a week. He works in a warehouse stacking boxes on transportation trucks. The boots are great! They fit and are comfortable even for 9hours straight!

Keep buying over and over!!! Great work boot!

I am a long time Skechers shoe wearer for two reasons: 1. I have worn them for fifteen years and 2. I need a wide shoe, which Skechers has always had, which is why I have worn them for fifteen years. The pilot is one of my go-to boots. I wear the hell out of them and buy a new pair every other year depending on what I put them through. I wear them for dress, for work, for hiking, for fishing. They hold up very well, always look good, and are always comfortable. The biggest reason I wear them is that I can trust the size. I wear a 13 EE and over the years the fit has always been true. That's a huge relief since buying a good, wide, boot or show is a serious PITA. The boots are not without their short comings but these are, relative to the price, minor things. The shoe-lace metalic tabs get lose eventually and bend and require a pair of pliers to bend back and keep in place. But, like I said, this is a minor thing. And, like I said, I do beat up on these boots pretty bad. But the heel always wears well, never breaks or falls apart, the leather holds up great and the comfort stays until I buy a new pair. I obviously cannot recommend them enough.

Hefty and strong construction.

This is my 3rd pair, I love these shoes. I wear them with my jeans for casual days where I'm not sure if I need to be a bit dressy or just casual. Can't ever go wrong with these as they fit any occasion. They can make you look dressy or casual. I only wear them with jeans, though. They are comfortable but can feel heavy if you're planning on walking with them for a number of hours. I walked a good 4 hours straight one day as I was a tourist part of a city that I visited. By the end, I felt like I was wearing heavier shoes. They last a long time too, I usually buy a pair once a year or longer. I just like to throw my shoes away after one and a half to avoid any kind of fungal infections.

This is my 4th or 5th pair of Skechers boots over the past 15yrs. These fit okay but there is something odd with the right boot, the metal lace lug hole closest to my pinky toe (right foot) digs into to top of that toe. Not so on the other foot so....???. There is no asymmetry with my feet. It is very uncomfortable. I had to put a Dr. Scholl's bunion cushion over the lug on the inside of the right boot. It will fall off eventually, I'll just keep putting them on since the boots are comfortable otherwise. FYI I bought the Skechers USA Men's Segment Ander Chukka Boot, Dark Brown, 11M same time as this one, different style boot, different lace lug configuration, no problems with that boot, love them! With these blacks ones felt the same. 5/1/2024 UPDATE: 8yrs later, only wearing these boots during cold season months and not every day, the back seam patch on each boot came apart. I emailed Sketchers to see if they would repair or replace them(at prorated charge) and they basically told me they would do nothing and to go back to the store I bought them from. I took them to an old fashion cobbler and got new heal seam patches sold which are thicker and twice as wide for $20. So maybe I'll get another 6yrs out of them but I won't buy another pair of Sketchers again. This is the 2nd pair of Skechers shoes that fell apart in a few years of use, my other pair started separating at the sole, had to blue it back myself, and they are in excellent condition showing little wear.

These boots are comfortable. I bought another brand boot at the same time. I prefer this boot by a lot so far. It fits better and is comfortable all day. I did add arch supports because my feet need them. However, with other boots my feet still hurt terribly by the end of the day. These boot make my feet and bad ankle problems better. I am concerned on how long they will last. I am happy to find boots with better arch supports. Update Sept 2 2020. I still am happy with these boots. They have lasted well. I am ordering another pair today. Another thing about these boot is that I can get them in the correct size. I think that is half the battle. I can get them in wider sizes than others.

love them big strong and solid i bought them big so thick soxs would work well for outside snow situations bought wide size as well as i often have swelling in the feett

Within 2 months, it's condition is very bad. It's not leather at all. The shoe has crack signs all over. The cracks were visible within 10 days. Better don't buy
