Lasted 18 months
(This review is for this glove purchase only) 18 months sounds good, but didn't actually wear these to drive with more than a couple times a month for longer 300-400 mile trips. Now they have holes in the right thumb and looking like other holes will be developing shortly. If you wear a "large" glove size as per the glove size guide from Amazon then you should get an XL based on my experience with this pair of gloves. The velcro straps are too short and scratchy. I have kept these gloves out of the heat/cold by not keeping them in the vehicles. I have treated these gloves with a leather preservative (Lexol) on occasion when the leather stiffens up. I have owned other Pratt and Hart leather gloves that are more expensive but are a better value overall IMHO, here is an Amazon link to them:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002Q8K8G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1I found these (linked) P&H gloves to last longer, about three years, and not that much more expensive. These gloves are comfortable to wear, hour after hour, and have good grip (no race style driving)! Make sure you keep your steering wheel clean also helps in steering but adds longevity to the gloves.

No traction, and the velcro is VERY scratchy.
When I first tried them on I was annoyed that I couldn't just slip them on, despite the "crumpled" texture shown in the picture on the back insinuating a stretchy band. I thought the velcro could be set up once, and left as-is because of that feature. I was wrong.Strike two is that the velcro is so poorly implemented, that the hooks part of the velcro scratches my wrists. It was quite annoying, but you could cut off the excess perhaps to stop that issue. The biggest deal breaker for me was that the gloves provide absolutely no traction on the steering wheel at all! That's one of the core purposes of driving gloves aside from comfort which they had already defeated with the velcro. So, these gloves do not serve any purpose whatsoever as far as I can tell. They're uncomfortable and slippery, so I'm returning mine.

Driving Gloves?! You're kidding, right?
I never entertained the idea of "driving gloves" before. I actually decided to get a pair as a kind of joke, as an affectation, if you will. My fellow car enthusiasts were discussing different things to dress up their cars and I hit upon the idea of "dressing-up" the driver. I remembered some of the older, auto-themed movies and a lot of the sports car and professional drivers wore gloves. I told the group of my idea and they laughed at me and made good-natured jokes about it. I decided to do it in spite of them. Did a little web surfing and decided on these gloves. I measured my hand for the correct sizing. I was pleased with the fit and the velcro straps make for easy, adjustable fastening. I was surprised by the extra grip I felt while steering and shifting. My friends had their laugh but soon after the initial fun, a couple of them approached me inquiring where they could get them! Who knows?! I may have started a trend. I am completely satisfied with the gloves and am contemplating getting a pair to keep in each of my other three vehicles.

Very nice, some minor issues - see my review
Nice leather, well-put together, nice fit. Not the very, very best but better ones are expensive! They have a very smooth finish so they may not grip some steering wheels as firmly as you'd like (they may slip). I use them for track days and amateur racing so I scuffed the palm side (fingers. etc.) with some 800 grit sandpaper and that made them a lot better. I bought medium and large and returned the large - no problems on the return and refund.

Nice Quality Driving Gloves
These gloves are about as good as any I have owned. There is only one area they did not fit perfectly- and this is going to be difficult for any "off the rack" gloves to solve- the thumbs are just a smidge too long. Elsewhere, the gloves fit very well. I was also surprised to find I was able to easily control the touchscreen on my RAM truck while wearing the gloves! Overall, I do not think you could go wrong if you are looking for a good pair of driving gloves for the money.

slippery
Overall, gloves fit well and are comfortable. However, the grip on the steering wheel is rather poor. Hands will slip when turning the wheel unless held tightly. This can be rather tiring when driving in the city.. A little abrasiveness in the palms would probably help. Grip especially poor on wood or plastic composite steering wheels.

Be Cautious If You Have a Leather Steering Wheel
These gloves look good, feel good, appear well-made, and are fairly inexpensive. I was very pleased with them when I opened the box and tried them on. Then came the disappointment. On my leather steering wheel, these gloves barely grip at all. I had to maintain a tight grip on the steering when turning to keep it from slipping through my hands. And this on a car with fairly soft power steering. Driving gloves are supposed to improve your grip not worsen it. It may just be a bad match between my steering wheel and the gloves, but I found them all but useless. I replaced them with a more expensive pair of deer skin gloves that work perfectly.

Best driving gloves I ever had
Highly recommend these gloves. Extremely thin. I do not feel them while driving. They provide excellent grip to the leather wrapped wheel and leave no residual in hot weather, no sweat marks. Typical life cycle is 1.5 - 2 years, depending on your location, and they worth every cent imho. I have worn two pairs and will buy more if they are still available in two years.
