Something you want to consider…It has one issue that someone may or may not want…That is the basket strainer gravity auto-plugs and seals with no way to keep water draining while the strainer is in. Therefore, if you are wanting the sink to drain you’ll have to remove the strainer basket. Though once you drop the strainer basket in, the water and gravity will wind the strainer almost to a tight seal. You’ll have to turn the strainer tight if you want a 100% plug. I have a cover strainer with the sink so I leave the basket strainer off to the side when not needing to plug the sink.

This is a great sink strainer. Something you want to consider…It has one issue that someone may or may not want…That is the basket strainer gravity auto-plugs and seals with no way to keep water draining while the strainer is in. Therefore, if you are wanting the sink to drain you’ll have to remove the strainer basket. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well made and fit my Farmers sink

As advertised, this strainer has a slightly longer shaft depth. Other “standard” strainers were not long enough to fit the depth needed for my Farmer Sink. Well made and fit perfectly. UPDATE: Although initially nice, the black paint chipped off the ring of the strainer in just a couple of months. Quality is not good. Had to replace it. I did so with a much more expensive one from Kohler. That one chipped in less than a month. We only use Dawn dish soap. Both appear to be China junk.
