Convert Lightning Cables to USB-C Cables With Data
As we update our Apple products we are having to change our USB connectors from the Apple designed Lightning standard to the USB-C standard. If you would like to use your current Lightning cables, they are easily converted to USB-C connectors using the Tubran USB-Male to Lightning Female Adaptor with the added benefit of adding a digital readout of the power being delivered in volts and watts. As mentioned in the sales literature, this adaptor is suitable to use for transferring data, up to 480Mbps, and for charging/delivering power up to 35w. You cannot use a cable with this adaptor installed to use OTG functions, headphones, keyboard, mouse, microphone, etc.The unit is well built and the plug and socket attach firmly to their mating devices. This device provides a clear, easy to see indication that power is being transferred or if charging is complete. As with most of these devices, the displays are small and hard to read in bright light.

Great little accessory to make sure that your charger is working
So all USB-C cables are different, and you only know if a cable works with a particular device if you can see it charging via the charging status light. This handy little device gives you the necessary visibility and lets you know precisely how many watts are traveling through the cable if you are charging. For example, if you know the laptop can charge at 100 watts, and you don't see around 100 watts shown on the display, it must be fixed. If you see something like 10 watts or smaller, there may be other problems, perhaps the cable, possibly the adapter. This little display is handy for any USB cable to ensure that the right amount of power is traveling through the cable into the device, so you don't leave it plugged in overnight just to realize that nothing happened the following day.

LED meter for USB C cable
Works as expected and shows some basic information while charging. Also used to extend the connector in hard to reach cases or enclosures. Should get decent wattage through it.

Dim display. Voltage and power not that accurate.
I got this as a Lightning converter that also monitors charging. It plugs in OK. Display is pretty dim, hard to read with lights on. Voltage and power displays are not that accurate; with 5V on cable it shows 4.8V. With a 4.4W load it shows 5.6W on display. It's still useful for getting a general idea of the charging rate, but could be better.
