Easy to use with Google Home
Works well with Google Home. Easy to set up via the app and then use with commands to Google Home. Choice of colours are good and handy to also be able to dim or brighten the bulb without installing a dimmer switch. Not the brightest light so may not be suitable for everyone but I think it's fine for a bedroom. We ask Google to set the bulb to red when it's time for our son to come off his Xbox!Have ordered another for my daughter's bedroom now.

Tried for an hour and total misery for me because the flashing and stress ! Would not connect!
Been driven crazy by repeating all stages several times, even holding the phone up! Get the % through to 100% each time. Now yesterday, I connect my Phillips Hue Alexa lights and my Lombex three, each of which took no time at all, so thought that I would try the cheaper one today! Instructions are much the same as for the others. Poor partner whizzing around doing the clearing up while I swear delicately (not in the end)!! Sending back as I should not have to start a communication with G.. knows who in ?.

Works well with my Google Home Smart Speaker
It took a little bit of setting up, you have to read the instructions carefully as it's a sequence of light switchings until the bulb flashes etc etc. Also you need to have your phone (with the app installed) very close to both the wifi router and the lamp. I tried to set the bulb up in my bedroom which is on the first floor directly above the router(maybe 3m away) but it would not connect. I took the bulb downstairs and set it up in the actual room using a lamp in the room, maybe 2m from the router and it worked...seemed weird but once it was working I could add it to my Google Home setup ok.You can change the colours quite nicely and the dimming levels are good too. The default colour is a slightly off white, not blue or yellow exactly, but not too harsh. It's not really bright enough for ready or artworking, but I have it as my main bedroom light and use lamps for close work/reading.For the price it's not half bad and seems to work well once you install the relevant apps and settings.

They Work And Stay on My Network
Although I had problems setting this up, it does appear to stay on my network unlike the TP Link smart bulbs which turns out not to be very smart. I run both 2.4 and 5 joined together on my BT Hub 6 which was why I couldn't set it up. My simple answer was to separate them and shut down my 5 and then I was able to set it up. I have now joined them back up together and it is working perfect. I originally downloaded the Smart Life app on my tablet but was unable to change the colours even though it set up alright. Putting the app on my phone gave me access to the colours and it also works perfect with the Amazon Echo. I have now ordered more to replace all my TP Link bulbs as with those I cannot rely on them while I am away from home. Their purpose is also for security while I am not at home to control from my phone. Overall these are a lot cheaper to purchase and they do appear to work without any problems.

NOT AS ADVERTISED
I bought my 1st smart bulb a while ago (it’s the one on the left of 1st pic), it did everything I wanted and more than I expected so when I saw the listing (which had been saying “currently unavailable” for quite some time) saying the bulbs were available I decided to buy some more, having already had the experience of not getting the same item I had previously ordered from the same listing I limited the amount of this order just in case, I’m glad I did as although the new bulbs look physically the same externally they don’t operate the same way in the app, the original bulb could be turned on/off with a single click via the power icon on the apps main screen (see 2nd pic) and had a drop-down menu of other useful functions, the new bulbs don’t have the power icon until you open the drop-down menu which involves more clicking and a slower overall process (feels like it’d be quicker to go to the actual lights switch!), also the app was upgraded with a widget (3rd pic), only devices that have the power icon available on the apps main screen show in the widget, I have returned other items that lack this functionality as it’s the main way I use the app now but these new bulbs came direct from china so it would cost me more than they cost to purchase to return them so I’ll have to keep them unless someone else I know wants slightly less functional devices!Having got that off my chest the setup is easy enough as long as you’re not a technophobe, the voice control function works as advertised and you don’t even need an Amazon echo or Google home device, the Google assistant phone app has the voice control functionality built in!If the 2 new bulbs had been exactly the same as the original one I would probably give a 5 star rating but as I didn’t receive what I expected to I can’t

I've found it easier to make the bulb flash fast it rather than use the slow flash connect method.
I bought one of these initially to replace an old rgb remote controlled bulb and it was a bit fiddly to set up over WiFi. But once I worked out what to do it has been an absolute breeze to work with. So impressed I've bought a second one. I use then in the lamps for my bedside and the colours make it really easy to relax. You can use two in sync as a group or operate them separately to give colour mixes. All in all, for £15 you can't go wrong. Sure it's not a Phillips hue but the effect is damn near the same.

Don’t buy
Bought 3 bulbs. Difficult to set up. I commenced installation only a few weeks later after the return deadline had passed.I bulb broken (metal contact at base missing) out of the box. A waste of money. Suggest a product from a better brand.

Sickly white output
It's cheap and works. The multi-colour functionality is probably only going to be used by tech-savvy tweenies. The app setup was relatively easy, as was configuration with Alexa/Echo. The 'white' is a horrible reddish colour that's unpleasant. I'll be spending a few extra quid and buying a proper white light for my bedroom (where I currently have this bulb) and moving this bulb to my disco room. If you're looking for pleasant natural type light then this is not for you.
