I bought this as a letter opener and it has a slim, sharp blade which is perfect for that, but it is also sharp enough and strong enough to open the string enforced tape on most amazon parcels - bonus!

The wood on the handle was splintered, the metal is chipped and ragged on the edges and this is on arrival. Still serves purpose.
