This new 50p coin has been issued by the United Kingdom to celebrate one of Beatrix Potter's much loved children's tales, 'The tale of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle'. Struck by The Royal Mint to an unblemished Brilliant Uncirculated finish, this coin is the fourth in the popular 5-coin series celebrating Beatrix Potter. It is also the first and only official UK coin to feature Beatrix Potter's prickly washerwoman, Mrs Tiggy-Winkle. The obverse features the fifth definitive portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
