I purchased the Cable even after reading the only two negative reviews, bad decision. The cable does feel sturdy. the connector is gold plated or at least it looks that way. However, this cable has to be the first RJ45 I ever purchased that does not work. I cannot remember ever buying a new RJ45 cable that did not work right out of the bag. I played around with it to see if I could get it work. I did get it to work but, in order for it to work you must push on both connectors at the same time for them to make a connection and somewhat work. We normally get 60 to 68Mbps from Ookla which is above what we should get. This cable could not get more that 9Mbps and that's if you are willing to push them into the RJ45 port while testing, clearly unrealistic for everyday use. I'm now customer number three who has had a bad cable/experience. Hope this help someone make a wiser decision than me.

Did not work at all, brand new out of the packet. Purchased in hopes that this high speed cord would help my internet speed in case my existing cord was out of date. Had to plug the old cord back in and all was well.
