Cutech 40700H-CT 12 1/2" Spiral Cutterhead Planer with High Speed Steel Tips

I ran about 90 feet of ipé, 10 feet of pine, and then 30 feet of black walnut through this the day after I received it. Veerryyy smooth finish. Some snipe on the last inch and a half or so which was fixed by slightly lifting up the stock towards the end. The rollers had some trouble grabbing on to a certain board but never happened again on any of the others. Very pleased with this machine so far. Will update my review as time goes on.Update as of 4/1/2020This planer is a workhorse. Definitely would recommend it. Changed from 4 to 5 stars. My only concern is replacement blades.

Minimum snipe, low tracks in few places but easily scraped away when needed. Motor handles even hickory albeit at a lighter cut. Only issue is the collection port isn't optimized on this model leading to a lot of dust vomiting out the infeed/outfeed. Much simpler design than the yellow alternative, should be easy to maintenance

Wow! A quality machine for a great price. The unit was tightly packaged and arrived with no damage. I've planed about 80bft with this unit since receiving. There is little snipe, the spiral cutter is much quieter than a blade, and the finish is clean and smooth. This planer is a joy to use.

Gift for my woodworking son. He says that it is really loud but works really well. The noise is expected, I just chuckled. He makes patio furniture out of reclaimed pallet wood, so this is helping tremendously!

ORDER DIRECT FROM CUETECH. I was going to purchase on Amazon and the total was going to be $414 with shipping. I went to Cuetechtools.com to read more about this model. This same model was $329! I bought on the spot and at the time (late December) they had a free shipping promo. I got mine for $329 flat! Now about the planer. This is a great planer and the cheapest one that comes with a spiral cutter head. Run in my garage it is quieter than I thought it would be. Smooth clean cuts and minimal snipe right out of the box on mine. Fantastic buy and 100% satisfied so far. I've only ran roughly 50 BF through with many more to go.

Leaves a glass smooth finish on maple. I’ve had this planer for about 18 months and like it very much. It is quiet compared to my old 2 blade planer, it has dust collection that workes pretty well. The individual cutters are easy to replace. It has a gauge to show how deep your cut is going to be, I try to skim about a 32nd with good results.I had a problem with the cutters after I received it and the customer support went above and beyond to help me out. Excellent service!
