Easy Installation and Perfect Replacement: Craftsman Mower Deck Deflector Shield Kit
I recently installed the Craftsman 532130968 Mower Deck Deflector Shield Kit, and it couldn’t have been easier. The installation process was straightforward, and I’m relieved to have found a reliable replacement for the old shield. The kit came with all the necessary mounting hardware, making the whole process smooth and hassle-free. It’s a great product that works as expected, and I’m very satisfied with how it fits and functions. Highly recommend this if you need a quick and effective fix for your mower!

Mower discharge shute
Fit great cane with pin spring and clip, works great plus you dont have to worry about stepping into the blade as its wide open without very dangerous , plus the clipping shoot straight up lol

No instructions...
If this "Craftsman 532130968 Mower Deck Deflector Shield Kit with Mounting Hardware" is not identical to the one that came with my 17 year old Craftsman LT2000 Lawn Tractor, I can't tell the difference. It arrived without instructions, something that seems to be common for more of the replacement parts I buy for anything these days. I take it a something of a compliment. "Here you go, the part you ordered. We trust that since you ordered it, you know what to do with it."Well, I sorta knew. Not exactly. A bit more hammering and bashing than I would have liked. All I can say is, if you get a chance to look at the original before taking it off the mower deck, take a good look so you know where everything is supposed to go. I think there's only four parts: the plastic mower chute, a metal rod about 8" long to attach the chute to the deck, a sort of retaining washer that goes on the rod and a spring that helps keep the mower chute from bouncing up and exposing the (invisible when spinning) mower blades. The spring rests in a plastic indent on the bottom side for the chute where it connects to the mower deck. The straight end of the spring rests on the mower deck. The curly part of the spring fits into an indent on the mower chute. The hard part of the install is that the spring has to be tensioned and lined up with the brackets on the mower deck so that the rod can be inserted through holes on the chute, the brackets on the deck and the spring and then come out on the other side. Finally, I had to bash on the retaining washer. I used a locking-jaw pliers ("vise-grips") to hold the rod in place, a small box-end wrench to push the washer on the end of the rod and a hammer to do the bashing on the wrench. I would have picked an e-clip, or a rotor clip, as a retaining ring instead of a washer. But, it came with a washer, so I had to use more brute force than I would have liked to get it in place. With more time and effort than I would have liked, I got it put together and it seems to work as it was intended. In spite of the trouble, I'm giving it five-outta-five for the product. I did ding it a 3/5 on the "easy to install" question, though. I blame myself for not being more crafty about my installation and many of you will, no-doubt, have better luck (skill) than I did. If not, don't take on this project with the kids around. It's Rated R for language...

A little smaller than the original.
The mounting works after I saw a YouTube video for installation. The throat is a couple inches shorter that the cutting deck discharge. Of course, the tractor is at least 15 years old. Things change. Nevertheless, it works!

The deflector did not fit.
1. The new deflector did not fully close over the grass discharge opening.2. The devices used to keep the long bar in place were very flimsy and substitutions had to be made.3. The spring worked fine.

Wasn’t happy after paying for all and got only part
Didn’t get all of the kit, it only came with the bolts , spring and washer but no shield! It was suppose to come with all parts as per ad. So sent it back!
