Amazing manga

Kakegurui Volume four is another full volume of manga devoted to Yumeko Jabami taking on a single member of the student council. Yumemi Yumemite (someone went to the My Youth Romantic Comedy Snafu school of naming characters) is a pop idol along with being in charge of marketing on the schools student council. Wanting to prove a point, she challenges Yumeko to a series of games. If she loses, Yumeko has to join Yumemi and form a J-pop duo.Honestly, 5 issues was too many for this arc, as the build felt ridiculously drawn out. Kawamoto's habit of drawing big splash panels with little dialogue worked when there were multiple games per volume, but not so much anymore. Not to mention several of the games were poorly explained. And of course, music never works well in comic books, especially when you have to translate from Japanese so that it doesn't even rhyme anymore. The whole volume feels like it was written for the anime. Hopefully it will pick up in Volume 5.

Loving this series more and more i enjoyed the battle of the stars concept in this and can't wait to continue.
