Over the past year, we have gotten a great mattress/foundation, a low-warmth mattress cover, and good sheets. Only the blanket was holding us back from a good night's sleep. If you have low-quality, hot sheets, or a low-quality, hot mattress cover, I don't know if you can expect a single comforter to solve the problem. But as part of a "full sleeping solution," I recommend this comforter without reservation.This silk comforter is seriously one of the best purchases I've ever made for the bedroom. Really. Even in this cold Boston winter, we were suffering over-heated, sweaty, tossing-and-turning nights under our old, low-quality, $50 comforter. We live in a modern high-rise that is a total heat trap and we were too hot even with the window open and the heat turned off!We went online hunting for a low/medium warmth comforter, and decided to take a chance on this Empress Home silk comforter after reading the reviews. Honestly, it performs beyond our expectations. It's awesome! We still sleep with the window open because we like the airflow. Sometimes I do wake with a little chill during the night, which is solved by moving toward my bedmate! And again, it's February in Boston during the snowiest winter on record. Nonetheless, if you do tend to get a little chilly or you are sleeping alone or you live in an older or single-family home, you may want to shut the window or maybe not actually turn your heat *off* as we do. If you are sharing your bed, you will love that you can enjoy sleeping with your "bedmate" without getting grossly overheated throughout the night.

I bought this blanket/quilt in 2014 for my own bed, in the quest for a perfect night's sleep - and it's almost 3 years later and I can say it's a definite winner. It's light and comfortable, completely washable (I wash it about twice a year), the filling has never bunched up, and it's made of all completely natural fibers - cotton on the outside, silk fibers for filling. I must have covers to sleep well, but then I would often get too hot, and throw them off, then back on, etc. This solves that problem - it's not suffocating. My bed is layered - this quilt is over the sheet, then my patchwork quilt which serves as my bedspread. I use both, usually, and it's perfect. The reason I'm coming back to the product is that I now want to get one for my son and daughter-in-law.

This is my second silk comforter, and it's wonderful! The other one I have is of better quality, being mulberry silk strands, but this one is actually a little thicker, and the silk is not in strands, but rather it is more uniform. This means it is easier to wash and dry than my other one, and it is almost as warm. And the price is great! I used to only use down comforters, but they got to be too expensive, so I went to silk, and I'm glad I did. This is a great comforter for the price!

This duvet is much heavier than I anticipated. It's heavier than my silk summer duvet from another brand, and almost as heavy as my winter silk duvet, which cost more than double. When I first took it out of the bag, it was very thin but over the last few days, it has plumped up a good amount. I'm glad I bought it, as I wanted a thicker warmer duvet that was washable. The only slightly negative thing I'd say about it is that it makes a crinkley sound when I move it.

Very good, a bit crinkley,but worth it because it is washable..good temperature regulation for Spring through Fall..Not fancy or soft but fairlybpriced and effctive

I am very pleased with this purchase. It is lighter and cooler than my down duvet for summer and I expect will be equally as warm in the winter. The weight and feel are great and I love that I can wash it although I have not done so yet.

Had a medium weight expensive comforter from Macy's. It was just too hot to sleep under. We had a silk comforter which we purchased in a silk shop in China many years ago and loved it. So we decided to go back to a silk comforter again, especially one which could be washed. We no longer have the heat buildup and we really are glad we bought this comforter. It's quality is very good too.

I was looking for an alternative to a summer weight down comforter and this is perfect. It is very light (even in the King size) and offers the perfect amount of warmth for late spring, summer, and early fall. Spoke with the seller before ordering to make sure I was making the right choice and he was very helpful in explaining what to look for in a silk comforter.
