All lead free, eco friendly materials were used and the set has been kiln fired twice to over 1900 degrees. They are safe to place in the dishwasher and microwave- made to be used and enjoyed. Each mug measures 4 x 4 and holds 16 oz. of your favorite coffee, tea or other beverage. I have applied the decoration in such a way as that both figures appear on the mug, but the Mr features the male and the Mrs features the female more prominently.
