Fluval Bug Bites wins again
My picky betta loves this stuff. The ingredients are great. Some float and the bigger pieces sink but he dives right for them. Even the bigger pieces are still easy for him to eat unlike other brands of pellets (he would spit them out because they were too big). None go to waste. The lid is nice as it only allows a small amount to come out per shake, perfect amount per feeding. My guys color seems to have brightened to a beautiful red from a more dull red. I have one betta and some rasbora (separate tanks) and I feed them all this food. This bottle might last forever. Great price for plenty of food! I use Fluval Bug Bites for all of my fish in all of my tanks now.

Well worth the price
This food is my go to. Bite sized for small fish and keeps them happy. Prevents too much gulping of air at top of tank. Sinking food

My Betta loves this stuff.
My Betta eats this stuff up like candy. Im new to Bettas, so I have been feeding him while getting his attention at the same time. The quality seems great, better than bloodworms. Gumpert eats this stuff up with ease and hope he remains healthy! I have tried bloodworms, fancy guppy, new life spectrum betta, and he prefers this over anything. Good stuff!

Fishy loves it
My betta does not like pellet food. We were getting worried so bought this and she absolutely loves it. It doesnโt all float, which can be tricky. I end up waiting until I know she is looking and tap about four pieces in so she can hopefully catch the one that inevitably sinks immediately and then come back for the other pieces, and then I repeat the process until she is done. This takes patience, but thatโs okay for us.

Amazing ingredients but they donโt float
I really love the ingredients in these bug bites itโs one of the elites of betta food imo. The pellets are also a pretty decently small size. My betta, Disco, is a wee bit on the smaller side for a male betta & he has no problem taking these in one bit. However they arenโt a uniform size. I donโt just dump them in as some might because I hate food waste in my tank so I feed from my palm & sometimes I get a bigger chunky but itโs easy enough to break into smaller pieces with my finger nails. My biggest complaint though would have to be they donโt float for crap. Iโm not sure if it says anywhere in the product description about floating but the bottle says โslow sinkingโ. It feels like kind of a loophole to say โwell we didnโt claim they floatโ but they definitely donโt actually sink any slower than any other food either lol. But seriously they remain at the surface for about 2 to max 20 seconds before they go down. For this reason I donโt have any other option to do anything but hand feed single granules at a time so should I need to use an auto feeder while on vacation I will definitely have to remove these from the diet rotation. I will say though they must smell/taste great because Disco did eventually hunt down the ones at the bottom of the tank for a snack lol.

Be
Very palatable to my betta fish. Easy to feed to them. They hit it hard and demand more, so they must love the taste. I'm very pleased with the quality of ingredients, and have been happy with fluval products overall.

Mr. Midnight is obsessed
My betta is obsessed with this food. He used to be happy to eat anything I'd give him, but now if I give him a different food the disappointment is palpable as he chews it for a second and spits it back out. Even seeing the white container gets him excited. The granules sink relatively quickly and he seems to like chasing them, so that adds some interactivity to them - if you have a betta with eye problems (a lot of the popular Samurai and dragon scale ones seem to get diamond eye), you'll probably want to have a feeding dish for these. Meanwhile, my fish picks through the stones in his aquarium to look for Bug Bite crumbs. He's doing it right now.

Reliable, high-quality pellet food for bettas
Iโve kept and fed many bettas over the years, and this is one of the best widely available pellet foods Iโve consistently used. The granules are an appropriate size for bettas and are very well accepted. I use this as a staple food and rotate it with frozen bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp to provide dietary variety. I also occasionally add liquid fish vitamins when preparing food to support overall health. One important feeding note: I recommend soaking the pellets for about 5-10 minutes before feeding. This helps prevent the pellets from expanding after ingestion and can reduce the risk of bloating or swim bladder issues, which bettas are prone to. Across multiple fish and setups, this food has supported good appetite, coloration, and activity levels. I reorder it regularly and consider it a dependable option for betta owners who want a higher-quality pellet thatโs easy to source without specialty ordering. Best for: Betta keepers looking for a consistent, protein-forward pellet that works well as part of a varied feeding routine.

Healthy betta!
My betta looks healthy. The pellet is not slow sinking, It's actually very fast sinking. When I add more than 2 to 3 pellets at the same time, atleast one pellet sinks too quickly and gets under the gravel and my betta never finds it.
