A child's experience during WWII
Yoni Nadelman tells the story of her life in occupied Poland during WWII. I am a fan of historical fiction, particularly about occupied Europe during WWII, but nothing compares to viewing a life through the eyes of the person who lived it. Yoni is five years old when the war begins. All The things I Never Told My Father is a story of the innocence of childhood juxtaposed with the cruelty of war. It is also a story of survival and resilience. I was gripped by this memoir from the first pages and highly recommend it.

Intense and Gripping
A friend gave me this book. I started reading it because it was on my nightstand and relatively short. I did not have any expectations. But, the narrative really delivers. It is a firsthand account of Nazi brutality through the eyes of a child. The writing is crisp and not excessively wordy. The story moves along at a nice pace. The impact of the story is awesome. It is one of the best examples of personalized writing during during the war, and there is a lot of competition. The authenticity of experience comes through in every page. It reminds me of a bad dream in which I seek to outpace the monsters, but no matter where I hide, the monsters find me.A terrific achievement.

Gripping read
Like "The Devil's Arithmetic," the horrors of the Nazis as experienced through the eyes of a child. Here, though, the horrors are first-hand. Written factually and without added drama, the narrative carries enormous power. A lifetime passed before the author was able to revisit this terrible time. It must not be forgotten.

A heartfelt, brisk account from a very brave, sensitive child's eyes with an adult perspective of a terrifying war experience on the civilian side. A quick read that will haunt for a long time to come.

Maravilhoso
