Mmm SARAP!
Mmm sarap! I moved out to the desert to take care of my mom. Luckily the local Asian store had some ingredients for palabok, but it didn't have calamansi juice for it. We'll, I think they did but it was frozen in a can 😝. So glad this supplier has liquid calamansi juice available 😁. When I got sick during the holidays, I made calamansi tea with honey and it helped me a lot. Not only because it has natural Vitamin C, but it also reminded me of Mom's calamansi trees at our old house. 🎶Memories, like the corners of my mind 🎶😁.Mom said it was good with the palabok I made for her 🥰.

Try it
The taste is sour so you have to add sugar. The concentrate wasnt completely strained, there were a few little bits of the fruit floating in there. Not too much in one package I went through the 4 quick.

Great quality and taste.
If you are a lover of calamansi juice to flavor your pancit this is for you, however, don't buy too much at one time as the expiration date is not too far out. I keep these in the fridge and so far there is no disappointment

An Acquired Taste, Sort Of Like Lime Peel And Bitter Orange Peel Flavoring
I love exploring different foods from around the world. Calamansi fruit is not something I have had before, so I decided to check it out. Let's see what happened.WHAT IS THIS LIKE?PACKAGINGThe packaging is interesting. There is a nice twist top on this which allows you to open it, dilute or use straight and then shut it up again and save it for another use.THE CONCENTRATEThe concentrate is very unique. I would say it is reminiscent of Yuzu if you ever had that, but not quite as fruity It is similar to the peel of lime with bitter orange. It is concentrated, so the idea is if you are going to drink it you dilute it first. Full strength is like espresso vs coffee.HOW I USED THISWe had some swordfish steaks that we wanted to grill, so I got the calamansi concentrate and put it on the fish. If you open it, you have to use it in 3 days or so, so I used the whole thing, knowing I would forget to use the rest if I didn't. After I soaked the steaks in the juice, I added some garlic, chives, liquid aminos (soy sauce substitute), and salt and pepper. We grilled the fish and served it with a thawed pea salad that had mayo in it and fresh veggies and a salad. the fish was really good. That added bitter twist seemed to take away from the fishy taste that swordfish sometimes can have. It really did add some depth.THE BOTTOM LINEAlthough this is a bit on the bitter side for me, it does make some nice marinades and I plan to use it next to make muffins when the weather allows in the future (it is hot now). This is handy to have and a new and different taste if you like citrus type flavors.MY RATINGFOUR STARS. This has a lot of bitterness to it and is an acquired taste. I like it and will use it, but so far don't LOVE it. I have not found the perfect place to use it yet although I am trying. I hope to update if I do.HOW DID I USE IT?

Very fresh!
I have heard that calamansi has vitamin A & C and that it is also good for women especially for skin, weight loss, detox, etc. So I bought it for my wife. I know it is too early to say that I can see good impacts but this juice is very fresh and good quality. I would love to recommend this juice.

Recommend
I heard a lot of good things about calamansi especially detox so I dilute it with bottle of water and drink it through out the day. There are a lot of ways to drink this, but diluting it with water or sparkling water tastes the best to me. I just have to mix a little to my bottle of water so it lasts about three days. It doesn’t have any sweetness to it, but you can always add something and mix it to your taste.

Close to expiry and bitter
It's a poor example of kalamansi, which I had fresh for many years in the Philippines. This is bitter. They seem to be extracting from the whole fruit and taking from the skin. Besides the packages are all set to expire.
