I bought this last year for a Xmas gift for a 9 year old, and she loved it. I personally bought it for 3 reasons: 1) the ballerina is a girl, not a woman with boobs and curves and things my daughter doesn't care about yet, 2) the music is classic, and 3) it was a good price, some I've seen for hundreds of dollars I don't get. Also, my daughter isn't really a ballerina, however she does try lots of things and doesn't always succeed, so I really like the verse on this... shoot for the moon, at least you'll touch the stars, I told her this was special b/c it's important to keep trying, I hope this reminds her of the key to life is to keep striving. Overall good quality (have you seen the ones where the face of the ballerina is weirdly painted or smushed? This isn't one of those), good music, good message, overall good buy.

It was beautiful. I bought it for my three year old to enjoy as she has been asking for one and I found this one on Amazon and thought it was perfect. She broke it right away. It is not for young children which is probably obvious in retrospect. I am going to buy another one. The melody is beautiful, it's absolutely gorgeous, looks so nice in her bedroom up on the shelf and it was a great price. It arrived securely packaged in perfect condition. I highly recommend it- just don't give it to a toddler!

This was a gift for my daughters 1st birthday. She loves it so much. She will just watch the ballerina dance around and around. This is her second music box and I am so glad I chose this one for her.

Poor quality, too bad because it looks very cute. We have now returned two of these music boxes and will not be ordering another. The first one had a terrible clunking noise every few seconds in the out-of-tune song. The second one had a broken ankle, just about ready to snap off, but no clunking sound. The quality does not match the price at all. My 5-year-old fell in love with this music box and saved her money for it. She was very disappointed, twice, but learned some good lessons about returning items that are damaged and getting refunds. So I guess there’s that.

This was very cute and I hope my granddaughters love it. I bought it as a gift that have not given yet.

The music box is visually very nice. The music was disappointing. It plays just a few tinny bars of Swan Lake, then repeats and repeats. The music is not anything that you'd want to listen to, but our granddaughter is taking ballet this year, and I do think she will like it because it is a pretty music box.

Our granddaughter, 6 yrs, loved this. The main thing that prompted me to buy this one was that the ballerina is shaped like a little girl and not with the bustline of Barbie. It comes packed in an excellent box with no risk of breakage-that was important to me.The paint colors & pearl were sweet--not hot colors. And the music was nice, not too loud but definately perfectly delicate & light.

Arrived in perfect condition and with an Amazon inspection sticker. Its really beautiful. Spins nicey and plays a song at just the right volume. My 5 yr old loves it. Update: The ballerina broke off the stand within a few days.

when I received it, the ballerina would not even stand up tall. It just twisted and turned, Not at all happy for the money I paid for it, and was not what a little girl can or should have
