This is the first flow type test I have seen for gout, currently most are send-away lab tests, or you can purchase a meter that works with test strips.Compared to a send-away, this is amazing value at 13 pounds even if results won't be as precisely quantified.I am excited by this product, I suffer gout that is typical well controlled by medication, I also have other issues and sometimes I have situations similar to a gout incident but I am not sure, as it can be other issues instead.Having this test in hand will let me check if its likely the onset of actual gout. I have medications and courses of action that can head off a gout attack if I am aware early on.As I have not had cause to use this test yet I can only go on the instructions. They do require several steps and a precise timing of the process but as someone with experience in this field I don't have any concerns, I can't see anyone having problems if they read first and follow, a helper might be useful.Here is the issue, of course we have no idea how accurate it will be, its made in China and doesn't seem to have any useful certification to back up its claims apart from a CE mark which is an entirely meaningless mark these days as its not a clinical verification and its self certified, I can CE mark my own elbow if I want!So this review is a bit benefit of the doubt as I can't try the kit until the situation arises and I can't vouch for the accuracy as I don't have a comparison measurement when I do.I am giving it some leeway on the basis of low price and innovation.

Shortly after receiving this test, my foot flared up with significant pain and so I followed the test documentation to obtain some blood, allowed it to sit on the test card for the required time, and then flipped over to see I was at the second colour spot.The pain I was experiencing suggested I should have been higher.Ultimately this might mean whatever I was experiencing wasn't even gout, so only a proper medical examination would prove this.If more people who have gout were to review this and say with 100% conviction that it worked then I would have been tempted to ignore my own results, but it appears I am not alone in the questionable results I received.

Too difficult to work and test did not work

Currently going through a mild gout attack as I right this review, I have just took the test and wasn't expecting to get the lowest reading,🤔😕I have suffered on and off for a good 10 years now with gout so I'm well aware when I'm having a attack or one is starting.After following the instructions and waiting the required time I then turned the test over to be met with the lowest reading which I'm sorry to say cannot be correct as I am in a flare up 🫤The test is easy to use and you get everything needed to run the test but unless I've done something wrong (but I'm pretty sure I didn't)I can only suggest the test are not very accurate and so with that said I'm afraid I couldn't recommend 🫤
