Its cushioned so the straps dont hurt your shoulders and nothing inside digs into your back or side It's also expandable, which is great if it's the only thing you are carrying. Can fit under seat if expanded but requires some shoving, much easier in overhead if expanded and full. Also excellent as an everyday backpack for bigger kids or a work pack for adults commuting on public transportation. If a backpack could be perfect, this would be it. It's so well thought out that I cant think of a way to make it better....wheels maybe?
