Evidence-based science tackles subjects in accessible way
If you're looking for a book that goes into detail about subjects like the Hoax MMR vaccine scare or the bogus "we didn't go to the moon" theories, then this isn't it. Instead, the author uses an easily absorbed graphic novel format to introduce readers to these subjects and gives suggestions about where to go for more in-depth reading.I found Moon Landing to be entertaining, sensible, and easy to dip in and out of. I commend Cunningham for tackling controversial subjects in a clear-headed, non-partisan manner. I thought this was mostly clearly stated in his coverage of fracking. Knowing little about the subject I wasn't sure if his take would be "the fears are overblown" or "the assurances that it's safe are spurious." In the end I thought he did a good job of concluding that there is a lot more we need to know about this very new technology and that governments owed it to us to ensure there is a level of transparency and thoroughness in their oversight of the industry. To me this showed he was prepared to objectively analyse the evidence without letting a partisan worldview have him reach a conclusion based on something other than the science. Such people are rare. I look forward to reading more from him.

Truly Excellent Book
This book consists of eight chapters. They are all associated with different issues of science denial. Each chapter/subject is a comic strip consisting of several pages.Mr. Cunningham has done a magnificent job of taking complex subjects and presenting them in a manner that almost anyone can understand. My favorite is entitled, "The MMR Vaccination Scandal". This chapter details how a lawyer who wanted to raise a class action lawsuit against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) manufacturers contracted with Andrew Wakefield to create a phony study linking the MMR vaccine to autism. The sole objective was individual financial gain with no regard to the suffering that ensued.I intend to use this book to see if it can persuade high school students to develop an inquisitive approach to issues of science denial and direct more attention to the actual science instead of unsubstantiated claims from unqualified celebrities.Jack Cannon

Contains more misconceptions that have been popularized over time, that are based on non-sense, than just the moon landings,
Nice basic summary of moon hoaxer's dismal concerns and why their "conclusions" are bad science, based on little orno logic. The book however, contains more misconceptions that have been popularized over time that are based on non-sense.

An amusing attempt to debunk scientific untruth
Cunningham has written a nice book. telling some stories about how mistruths are generated. It's too bad that he doesn't take on creationists, who still have enormous influence in the Deep South.

Not What I Expected
Very enjoyable. Love the comic book style addressing some of today’s most controversial subjects. Well developed arguments to support the author’s conclusions. Will recommend to all my friends.

There ought to be more graphic novels like this.
In the same genre as "Logicomix" and "Feynman", this graphic novel takes us on an expository tour through some of the most heinous claims of conspiracy theorists, charlatans, and cranks. Not something to keep around for reference, but required reading for any homeopath, chiroprancer, or, of course, moon landing hoax believer.

Cartoon Style Detracts From Readability
While the message is clear, the delivery method is, in my opinion, unnecessary. A clearly written narrative without the cartoons would have been far more readable.

packed full of false arguments
I was hoping for a book that would be an introduction to crittical thinking but instead it offers false unsubstantiated propaganda . It did arrive on time and has nice illustrations .

Simple straight forward wacko whacker
Even better when you realise he 'evolved' the book's arguments using feedback before publishing it. A very effective book to push back against the rising tide of conspiracy theorists expounding incredulity about subjects they don't understand.

Great and easy to read analysis of popular conspiracy theories
This book handles many controversial topics, and attempts to debunk various myths about science using clear evidence and logical reasoning. The illustrations are very effective at conveying the author's points, and help make a very entertaining reading experience. The author is very open-minded, and he admits that he's willing to change his mind regarding any of the topics discussed in this book if provided with sufficient evidence. He does not side with a specific group; he is merely asking people to embrace critical thinking, to think for themselves and differentiate between facts and opinions.

Not a comic book but even more interestting
This is how science or conspiracies should be explained. I like it and enjoy it every page. Climate Change is my favorite chapter I cannot stop reading it over and over again.

A reissue of a previous book - science tales. If you have the latter, don't bother.
A reissue of a previous book - science tales. If you have the latter, don't bother, you already have this in an expanded form.
