Hello, Yes, this momentary switch will return to the centered neutral position as the joystick is released.

Q: Hi, does this reverse the polarity in order to control an actulation both direction?

Thank you for your inquiry. Up/Down direction of the joystick can control one actuator, while Left/Right direction of the joystick can control a second actuator. Please keep in mind that you do need some relays for this to work.

Q: This is 3x the price of the usual 4-way switch. Is that because it is heavy duty? We need a heavy duty item.

Hello, The RC-15 does require a relay for actuator control. Since this joystick is rated for a maximum of 10 A, we suggest making sure that the solenoid does not draw more than that. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. Thank you
