Taiwan High Mountain “Lan Gui Ren” Superior Ginseng Oolong Tea 250g

We have been buying this tea for years, but the price is becoming too high to afford and we are looking for alternatives.

I have been to the tea markets in China many times and I know good tea. This tea is a medium quality ginseng oolong. The tea is in very smooth round balls and does not open fully even after multiple seepings. It is drinkable but not nearly as good as some that I have bought before.

I am a native Taiwanese and a lifelong tea drinker. As one viewer said that the tea is in very smooth round balls and does not open fully even after multiple seepings, I would said this tea is not a genuine Taiwan High Mountain tea at all. The tea water looked very dark and dirty and smelled very strange. I dared not drink it and tried to return the whole package back now. But it was shipped from Shanghai, China, not America. The package did not mention any original manufacturer and the expiration date. The good tea such as the genuine Taiwan mountain tea is very expensive even in Taiwan. The price here is way too low because it is a very low grade old tea. Most American may not know (Taiwan mountain) tea well but I do.

I first had this tea at a restaurant in California, and it was amazing. Exceptional flavor and perfect for my personal taste. Unfortunately, quite difficult to find in local stores in Texas. Luckily, I was able to find this exact tea on Amazon. I currently use a pot (4 cup size) diffuser to make a large batch. The leaves come shrunk like in the picture, but unfurl in hot water. Drinking tea at work at least twice a week, I expect this to last a couple months. Even though the initial shipping estimate was 1 month, the tea was delivered about 7-10 days later. It was worth the wait!

This is a delicious ginseng oolong tea. I had some of this style tea while visiting China and spent a long time trying to source a tea like this in America.I usually get 4-5 brews out of one teaspoon of leaves and the flavor is delicious through all of them.This tea may be a bit strong for you if you are only used to drinking green tea bags from the grocery store, but if you are up for a whole new tea experience, I highly recommend trying this tea.

This reorder of the same tea was nothing like the previous order and the vacuum seal was compromised. Just little shreds of tea leaf fragments where previous order had distinct leaves.

This is not the finest Taiwan Wulong, but I found it very enjoyable--smooth and sweet. This tea is a good value, and I will probably order it again.

Very much enjoy drinking this tea. Unfortunately the tea isn't the young tips, but rather older big leafs. overall great taste though.
