Ugly yet effective replacement cooling for Intel Compute Stick PC
As an IT Admin for a small Transportation Company we have a large monitor set up so we can view all of our vehicles out on the road. After the remodel we wanted a better solution than using an older Dell PC which was using up precious desk space. We purchased an Intel W5 Pro with an Atom x5-z8350 & 2GB of Ram running Windows 10 Pro. As we just needed it to display a web browser we felt this solution which would free up space as well should do the job. After a few months of 24/7 operation I noticed the fan was starting to fail and temps started to rise. Finding the actual replacement fan didn't seem to be an option due to how proprietary the little fan was. Looking for a USB powered alternative I stumbled across this, took off the case on the W5 and strapped it to the top.Ugly? Sure, but as you can see adding the fan brought temps down from 70/80c to 36c!! With averaging around 55 or so with a moderate work load. As far as acoustics it's fairly silent on the lowest fan speed setting. I experimented with turning the speed up but didn't make that much of a difference. So keeping it on the lowest setting is best. The monitor has a USB port where it pulls power and the nice thing is that it will go to sleep when the monitor does. It is not connected to the compute stick as I didn't want to stress the little device any further.So... great little fan for 10 bucks. Moves a good amount of air, is quiet and has 3 speed settings. I highly recommend it.

Great Little Fan!
Dont believe? Trust the plants! If you know begonias, they HATE water sitting in their leaves. Look at how theyre thriving in a high humidity, low vpd enviornment. The fan dries em off before they throw a fit in a pretty large enclosure.I'm using this along with some other ac infinity hardware to keep my GTPs bioactive enclosure in check and so far so good. Outstanding results. I can mist in the mornings, keep the fan on low for air exchange and evaporation and it keeps the VPD, humidity and temps in check on just LOW while I'm at work. Get home and the top of the soil is dry as its supposed to be, bottom remains moist for the clean up crew and he gets his drier period for the day while drying off plant leaves from the misting. It's TINY! But I can believe the 12cfm claim. Does the job in a 4ft tall, 30in deep, 4ft wide enclosure acting as an exhaust fan.

Really puts the FAN in fantastic!
I bought four of the 4" fans to squeeze into the rear slots in my entertainment cabinet. I suspected that I could use the silicone rubber feet to mount the fans, and it worked! The fans are held in place solely by the tight fit of the silicone washers against the edges of the cable cut-outs in the back of the cabinet.Since they are tight, and the rear of the cabinets are thin wood, at their highest RPMs, the fans make noise louder than the Xbox One X in the cabinet. However, at the "Medium" settings, the fans are no louder than the game console, and at the "Low" settings, the fans in the game console are louder. They really move a lot of air at the highest setting. I could feel quite warm air exiting the cabinet from the fans directly behind the Xbox One X, which vents heat out the rear of its housing. The other fans that were pulling air from mostly empty space were blowing out cool air.You can daisy-chain these together, but the speed control seems to affects all the other fans downstream. I had four of these connected together, with only one of them plugged into USB power. When I set the fan plugged into power to Low, the fan at the end of the chain stopped. Presumably, the other fans slowed down.

This Fan Will Make Your Electronics Last Longer!
This isn't the first AC Infinity fan I've bought. On electronics that put out alot of heat, quite often the manufacturer doesn't provide for adequate ventalation so you have to replace your equipment more often, and they make more money. These fans help to remove that electronic destroying heat and extend the life of your investment! I used this particular fan to cool my D-Link Router, which puts out alot of heat, but yet has no cooling fans. Because of the small size of this AC Infinity fan, it is perfect for the improved removal of heat from the router. Plus, since it sets adjacent to my computer, there are plenty of USB ports handy. In the past I have also used AC Infinity fans for cooling my TiVo Bolt and my television. The fan is described as ultra quiet, which I feel is an exaggeration. It's quiet, but not ultra quiet. If I had one complaint, it would be that the cord is so long for MY router application. It would be nice if the cord length was adjustable. This item is designed in California, but it's MADE IN Communist CHINA. Despite being made in China however, the quality seems to be very good. I recommend this item.

Awesome product
This fan is awesome! I didn’t expect much but it actually is a quality product, silent and very effective.I was searching for a cooling fan for Nintendo switch, there’re a lot of aftermarket products; most reviews on those that they’re either too loud, broke down too soon, or of cheap quality. Also, most cooling solutions aimed for the Nintendo switch would require to be either attached to the duck or to the console itself which would deplete its charge. This fan has the option to connect independently to a power supply or the dock, yet stay detached and mounted conveniently where you could place anywhere around the device you want to cool down or help in exhaust air suction.

Good operation, but a bit loud
The cooling effect is suprisingly good. And definetly a plus on the rubber pads that dampen the any rattling noise. But the fan noise itself is a bit loud. Comparing to small fans from like noctua and noiseblocker, this is definetly louder.

Awesome little fan
I bought this to cool off my Crucial external SSD’s and it’s keeping them cooler than I excepted. I like that is has three fan speeds and an on and off switch so it isn’t running all of the time.

I am a huge fan of this little usb fan.
I bought this rad little fan to help cool my new Boba Fett helmet. I sometimes wear this as my new face shield when I go shopping to bring people some smiles. The only problem is I live in Scottsdale, AZ and it gets super hot, and I was sweating to death. I added this sweet little fan with some stick-on velcro and plugged the USB into a small 3500 mAh battery pack that I can keep in my pocket because the cord is long enough. The fan is really quiet, but blows really well. I also love that the fan has a switch for High, Medium, Low and off. All I can say about this little fan is it delivers a nice breeze and feels very well built.

80mmの薄型が欲しい
薄型が欲しくて買った。狭い場所でも使えるのは良かったが、80mm製品と比較して音が大きく少し残念だった。

Good item
Could be improved by having the speed controller on the branch that goes to the fan instead of on the main power branch of the power supply cord.

Forced WiFi Dongle Cooling
This small 40mm fan is used to keep a previously hot AC1900 WiFi dongle cool. It is clamped on to, and behind the dongle with cable ties. Blowing cooling air through the WiFi device, it cools effectively. It is mounted on the wall and with the fan running at its lowest speed, cannot be heard. A small white grill is mounted just in front of the assembly, so it doesn't look unsightly.

Superb product
Almost a year already and still running without issues. It cools my wifi router.Update:I bought this last 2020 and now it's Nov. 2023! Non stop running and still good! Some 5-10min stops for cleaning the fan and then start to run again. I'm using this to cool off my router to prevent flactuation of internet speed. Superb product!!!Update:Sept 2024 the fan died but just imagine continuous running for 4 years. You did a good job. I'm gonna buy this again to replace it. Excellent product!!
