The banners do not come connected and spaced out for you. No directions on how to assemble the pom pom things so ended up not using them; we were in a time crunch to get things decorated since it was a surprise party. If I had known that it required assembly I would have planned more time to set up; otherwise product served its purpose.

There's a giant, plastic needle included in the package for you to string/sew the letters for Happy Retirement together. Be sure to budget that extra time into your decorating. Boo. The tissues balls don't pull out very nicely. The stars and globes are nice.

Used this to decorate the office of my co-worker, on the month of her retirement and she loved it.

I thought when I read the reviews for this, I was prepared for the set up. Wrong - it took easily an hour + to get everything assembled and ready to use. The pompoms, lanterns (globes) both were stinky (?) and the happy retirement banner was not strung together (a detail I missed and had to rush to get it together fast AT the venue) All in all, it served it's purpose well, stayed put and garnered compliments (added photos so you can see how I used them -I added a foil curtain, "no work zone" tape [construction theme] as well as balloons and crepe streamers) the ceilings were too tall to hang the lanterns so I just placed them around the cake and the other star banner was used to hang photos on with clothespins which held up well. I would recommend this kit with the advice to give yourself ample time to assemble...it is not an open-and-stick-on-the-wall type decoration kit.

Worked fine. No complaints. Takes some time to assemble some things, but was all simple to do.
