The word 'Disorder' is missing from the wristband, which reflects the fact that PTSD - also known as Posttraumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSS) is often viewed as a mental injury resulting from a traumatic event rather than a mental disorder. The teal wristband is a blue-green colour, which is similiar to a dark turquoise. The soft enamel lapel pin ribbon is the same shade of teal, and 2.5cm high, and fastens with a butterfly clasp.
