Millefiori means 'a million flowers' in Italian, and with these bright little flowers, this trinket dish is as colourful and happy as an Italian Summer! I have created this glass art dish by fusing slices of bright folk art millefiore flowers on to some clear art glass. The glass layers are fused in a glass kiln at a temperature of around 800 degrees for 18 hours. I then fuse the flat glass piece for a second over-night firing in a bowl shaped mould, to create this unusual glass trinket dish. Designed and hand-crafted by me in my studio in East Sussex, your fused glass millefiore flowers dish is hand-made and so may vary slightly from the photo. The flowers will be multi-coloured and chosen at random. The photograph shows an example only. Your dish will measure approximately 8cm by 8cm. Your dish will come carefully packaged in a gift bag and bubble wrap to ensure it's safe delivery.
