Deb / NEVERknead **Q: Could i use with paper clay? and paper clay in my home? i mean to mix water, glue, etc.? thanks in advance** A: I have not used my never knead yet, but it is for polymer clay which loosens up when it is worked, because it aligns the molecules of the elastomers of the Palmer clay, or something to that effect. I don''t think paper clay works the same way. If I am correct, water softens up paper clay. If it is sticky when moistened it might stick to the never knead. **Q: I already own an arbor press, do you sell the white plate and attachment separately?** A: If you don't get an answer here I'd contact the seller at her site http://www.neverknead.com **Q: How much clay can you knead at one time and does this work well with primo polymer clay? Thanks in advance.** A: You can knead as much clay as you can get in between the Base Plate (bottom circle) and top Stomper. I usually do 1/2 a pack at a time, but you could do a full pack (2 oz). Having moved and given up my ceramic pottery studio, I decided perhaps I should try to switch to polymer clay. The problem is that I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis, making my hands very tender and stiff. Kneading polymer clay was out of the question. I was about to give up on sculpting altogether when I happened upon this amazing invention. I highly recommend this to anyone that finds conditioning clay to be painful. I just received mine today and tried it out immediately. What an awesome thing - popped the clay in and had it conditioned in a about a minute with no hand strain whatsoever. Coming from someone that finds it hard to pick up my phone first thing in the morning, that says a lot.If you're on the fence about this, order it now. I'm a believer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Very useful *by A***T on Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2014* Very useful, especially with Art Pardo Translucent and other super-stiff clays. There are a couple of things to watch out for, though: --The rubber tips at each end of the lever slide off easily, causing the lever to fall out of the body. --Tiny flecks of metal? oil? from the mechanism fall onto the top of the stomper and then onto the surface of the clay, causing discoloration. I wipe the stomper clean between each turn of the lever. --The video makes the process look very quick. With, again, Art Pardo Translucent, I had to "stomp" at least 50 times before the clay was usable. Still easier than doing it by hand or with a pasta machine, but something to be aware of. Settle down with a movie if you have a lot of clay to condition....Those are small flaws.
