Solid notebook, the pages are durable, easy to write on with a ball-point pen and have a wonderful smooth feel. The notebook has enough pages to hold 6 months worth of daily notes and the combination of elastic band and ribbon marker help you keep the book closed while in a bag and keep track of where you are in the notebook. I love these notebooks, though you do have to use a ball-point pen or a pencil with them. Fountain pen aficionados will be better served to look elsewhere (These pages are waterproof which means they don't absorb anything (Yes, this means they don't absorb cat pee either!)...) Everyone else can enjoy and take satisfaction in reducing environmental impact. *** Note that these are not bio-degradable as nothing out there will eat them (Unless you have a Horta handy), but that is a really really minor item in this case***

Simply a fantastic product. As an environmental scientist I must say, this is a great environmentally friendly product. It is made from renewable resources, uses no water in the manufacturing process, and has incredibly low emissions! Any environmentally conscience person should have this notebook!In addition to the great environmental qualities, it's functional, stylish, and is waterproof!! I cannot stress this last part enough! I was at a conference last week and the gentleman beside me spilled his drink on the table and all over my notebook. I simply picked up my book and swiped off the excess water. That is all. My notes were completely fine (even though written with a ball point pen) and am still using my notebook today. This would have ruined any paper made from trees. I strongly suggest you purchase this notebook!!!!

I'm very pleased that Pictostone decided to release different sizes and color schemes of their premium notebooks. Quality and Design were obviously the main focus in their first product offering and it showed, this new product easily meets this established standard as well. I love the portability of this item, the shade of red is eye-catching plus the generous amount of pages. Although unfortunately I will have to purchase another one since when the order arrived and I removed it from the packaging my wife swiftly snatched the notebook from my grasp and immediately claimed ownership LOL. Although to her credit, at least she did allow me to temporarily borrow back my purchase to take some actual photos that I've posted here to share with everyone :) I highly recommend Pictostone and their products. Give them a try, I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

I ordered this as a gift for someone I care about, they are an amazing human being and deserve equally amazing medium in which to preserve their art.

Cool that it's made of stone and all, and though I did NOT test the water resistance, it does smear and bleed through. The bleed through, ironically happened later. When I did it, it never bled through. Fast forward two months and it almost completely bled through.

I love this. I do work both indoor and outdoors and have to take notes at any given time. Paper is interesting to write on, different then regular, but enjoyable. Ink does take a little longer to dry but not in issue if you practice patience.

Great book and I love the feel of the pages. I write with fountain pens and the paper readily accepts Ink with no bleeding. You do need to wait for drying if you have a wet writer.

Fits easily in my back pocket. Very waterproof. When I tested I tore a page from the book and dropped in a glass of water for at least 30 seconds. I pulled it out and wiped it off and none of the ink smudged and was identical to before I put it in water. Highly recommend for other chefs out there.
