Only 4 showers in and I am already very impressed with the changes I am seeing and feeling in both skin and hair! Our well water is so hard and loaded with minerals. Because we rent, it obviously doesn't make any sense to put a water softener in, but it was becoming painfully clear that I had to do something to alleviate some of our hair and skin issues from our hard water. Everyone's hair still looked greasy after washing and spending a small fortune on expensive shampoo. Our skin felt like it had some kind of film that was just drying and suffocating our skin. After several showers with using the Hammerhead shower filter, our hair is looking and feeling so much healthier! Finally those expensive shampoo's are doing what they're supposed to! I noticed an immediate improvement in my skin, too. It finally feels like lotions are absorbing into my skin and even without the lotion, my skin is soooo much smoother and softer! Installation was incredibly easy. It even comes with the Teflon tape! The filter and it's housing are heavy, which is a good thing! It is obvious that this is a well constructed filter and is solid metal and not all plastic! Water pressure in my shower does feel like it has increased, too. I replaced the handheld shower with a new Moen one that had the proper matching numbers for pressure, etc. I would've loved to purchase the Hammerhead one, but it was out of budget. I cannot speak to how long the filters last for yet. I will try to come back and update when that happens. For now, I believe this was a very solid and actually helpful/healthy investment for my family. I absolutely recommend getting one! I honestly wish I could add one to my sink faucets, too!

I love this shower filter. I could not decide between the filter and the showerhead with the built-in filter. The filter weighs 2 pounds and the showerhead with the filter weighs about 4 pounds. It was very easy to install and did not affect the water pressure. We have hard water and my hair was not as dry after using this filter. I know it does not soften the water but is less harsh. Great product and I highly recommended it!

This is my second one, put one in the master bathroom and then felt bad for my hubby who uses the other one so I finally got him one. It fits perfectly with my rain shower head and really easy to put on. I thought it was broken after we had some plumbing work done, but found that the sediments from turning the water off and on for the main line broke the filter inside. I had one before this one and it was a cheap plastic one, after 2 filter replacements the container broke. This is totally worth the money since you can use this forever. The water flow is great as long as you replace the filter every few months, after it gets slower it is kind of a sign that you need to replace the filter

Very solid, all metal, well-made. Does not diminish my water pressure noticeably, which was nice to discover. Seems to significantly reduce chlorine, which is the main reason I purchased it. On a side note, this filter does NOT soften the water (does NOT noticeably remove hard water minerals) --- NO shower head filter can do that. This is a very good shower filter for what it was created to do. I am happy with my purchase.

I have lived in an area where our city water comes from Lake Huron. I was told when we bought the house that the water here was soft so I never worried about getting a filter for my shower. However, my curly hair has become so dry and frizzy, and I thought it was just because I was getting older or was using all the wrong products in my hair. I asked Gemini what I could do about my dry frizzy hair and a Hammer Head shower head was one of the recommendations. This was not something I wanted to do because it replaces your showerhead and has no hose, but I did find that they made a showerhead filter that just screws right into your shower with no need to replace your showerhead. The first time I took a shower I didn’t notice anything different and thought maybe it was all hype. However, day two after washing my hair, I noticed it didn’t have any frizz at all and day three I had very little, even though the day was rainy, and very humid. I love the shower filter and will come back and review it again after I have used it more. Of note, this company makes their products in the United States and donates part of their profits to Homes for Our Troops, which helps post 9/11 severely injured veterans get homes.

Nice filter with easy installation. Packed well and the filter was also packed in a sleeve to preserve the filter material. Only wish it was available in oil-rubbed bronze to better match the rest of our shower head.

Really enjoying this filter so far. Pairs perfectly with the HammerHead showerhead — pressure stays strong and the water quality is noticeably better. Built solid, and I appreciate that replacement filters are available so it'll last long term. Great purchase, highly recommend.

I bought it for my rusty water, but it did not help at all, shower still turns into orange very fast. Maybe it is better for making you water a little softer.

Delivery arrived prior to expected date ! Product well made but I still haven't mounted it to give an honest opinion but based on the superb quality I anticipate excellent performance ! Day two installed !

We highly recommend this filter. It is easy to install and made a huge difference to dry skin caused by the harsh London water.
