After doing some research its all down to air flow and not heat. If the temperature in the wardrobe is increased it will help create a better air flow thus help stop mildew forming on clothes which are touching the colder gable end wall. I have used this now for over twelve months. Hope this helps

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeps damp away from behind fitted Wardrobes

We had fitted wardrobes installed in our bedroom in April. Prior to installing these we had rising damp problems which we fixed at some expense. Soon after the cold weather arrived in November we noticed a damp smell in our clothes that were in the fitted wardrobe drawers. When I pulled the drawers out we saw mould building on the wall behind the drawers. I called the damp people back and they took measurements. The mould was not caused by rising damp but condensation that was building between the cold wall and the well fitted drawer modules. They recommended putting some ventilation (basically drilling holes to allow the air to circulate behind the drawers) and installing the dampp-chasers. We cleaned up the existing mould first and then drilled the holes and installed the 25 Watt Dampp-Chasers. A monthly check reveals no re-occurrence of the mould and our clothes smell as fresh as the day they were laundered. These are totally sealed, are only warm to the touch and they are fused at the plug so no safety concerns at all. Only thing I might do different is put in the 35 watt version just to get a bit more heat. Highly recommend these!
