Doesn't work on 5ghz internet!!
Doesn't work on 5ghz so absolutely useless and a waste of time. Ordered on prime and it was due Sunday didn't actually arrive until Wednesday. Badly explained manual and all for nothing. Waste of £10 if you have good internet!!!

A Few Issues But OK
Got this in one of Amazon's lightening deals.Just as I was about to smash this bulb into exactly 373 pieces Alexa finally recognised it and I could start controlling it.I installed the light in my sons room (he's wanted a smart bulb for a while) and installed the Smart Life app. Worked perfectly from the app, could dim, change colours and turn it on and off, etc. However, we wanted to use it with Alexa, the only reason we bought the bulb.The first issue we had was after installing the Skill on the Alexa app I could not log into Smart Life. I knew what the password was, I had literally set up the account two minutes before...but alas I spent a frustrating 30 minutes sorting that out. I was on the verge of giving up when it finally logged in. The second issue was the Alexa app. It couldn't find the bulb. I worked that out eventually. The bulb can only be on a 2G network and Alexa was connected to a Virgin Smart Hub 2Ghz, which is 5Ghz. I just simply re-configured Alexa to work on the 2Ghz network. Everything works fine now.We called the bulb "bedroom light", so now he can say from his bed, "Alexa, turn off the bedroom light" and "Alexa, make the bedroom sky blue", etc. Some of the colours are off though. Yellow and pink either turn out to be a muddy brownish colour. Still, he mainly has blue and red according to his mood.It's a good bulb at a good price, but am knocking a star off as really it should work with all networks and I had to faff around changing the network Alexa was connected to in order for it to work. Also, there was the problems with signing into the skill too.

Love that this bulb turns a standard light into a dimmable light.Was easy to install & set up. Can also control it from my mobile phone when I'm not home, turning lights on/off so it looks as though someone is home
