Works as expected
This device was obtained to keep vegetable debris out of a rain gauge, and is adequate for that task.I got the 150 mesh version; if I were to do it again, I would probably go for the 100.

Choose your size carefully, ignore other previous answers
First, super high quality. Great mold and PVC housing and the mesh screen is unreal in engineering perfection. But here is the problem, choosing your size is super hard. Be warned then when you are reading reviews and Q&A that it may not related to the size you are considering. If you are looking at the #80, you could be reading information about ANY of the guages, so if it doesn't specify... Anyway, the guage I got was way too fine for my purposes. But it is very high quality.

Good test sieve for small glaze batches
This is a good little test sieve for glazes. Perhaps a bit overpriced, but it should last longer than me.

Great for sieving glazes/underglazes
I already have the 60 and 80 mesh sieve but needed something with a bit larger mesh. This is perfect for my needs. I do a lot of small test batches of glaze and under glaze and this it perfect for that. The shape allows me to position it over a small bowl or cup. The larger sieves work great for larger quantities of glaze, etc. but for sample sizes this is perfect. I highly recommend it.

Quality
This product is outstanding quality that you don’t see often in today’s market. It fits perfectly into most one quart jars, while this is great, it is also my one complaint. I wish the inside flange was just a bit smaller as it doesn’t fit into the recycled 1 quart purée jars I use in my pottery studio.

Great quality - worth the price
I wasn't sure if this sieve would be worth the price but it absolutely is. I like that the stainless mesh is 316 marine grade as some cheaper sieves I've had that were the normal 304 stainless start to get rust spots after a few months. Easy to clean, very happy.Updating to add a photo... I love this sieve and after a couple of months of use it's still like new.

excellent and durable.
I didn't expect this to be quite so tiny, but it will filter out all but very fine slip clay. I would say the filter medium is about 3.5 inches across. I have no complaints about the quality of the build as it seems of fine make and quite durable, but comparing it to other sieves designed specifically for pottery, it's pretty expensive for it's size.

This EXPENSIVE item DOES have a No No.
This High priced item may be good for lab use but DO NOT, I repeat---DO NOT put it in an Ultrasonic cleaner, after four or five times in it the plastic (or whatever it`s made of) breaks down and actually CRUMBLES apart and THIS thing is SUPPOSED to be made to pretty much withstand any chemical thrown at it. I was VERY dissatisfied with it`s performance. I purchased it because of the advertised hype of what it could do and at $27.99 each?, I figured it would be worth it. NOT at all.
