Well Received
Bought as a present for a friend and it was very well received. Had there been an option for the book to be available in hardback though I would have purchased the hardback.

Good for a beginner runner.
Definitely targeted to women. As a newbie in running, the exercise and whole explanation on shin splints was eye opening and helpful. The structure is easy to follow and the it's written in plain english. No fancy terminology! Covers many 'issues' a woman would ask, from how do you style when running to how you run when you're pregnant. Overall a good intro book.

Great Book!
Very good tips, with a very personal style, and despite being one of the best professional athletes in her field, she empathises strongly with runners of all levels. This is a fantastically well written book and very enjoyable! Sad to say Paula Radcliffe's equivalent books is quite poor.... :)

Informative, lively & inspiring!
I read this book in the same week as I read Paula Radcliffe's new one, and this was far better read. It had more meat: more stories, more info that felt like it came from Kara's own experiences (Paula's seemed ghost-written) and made me want to get out the door and put it into action!! Well worth it!

New runner
Kara Goucher's Running for Women: From First Steps to Marathons I purchased this book off the back of the last review, I used to run in school which was well over 10 years ago and wanted to get back into it as a way to keep fit and for an excuse to get outdoors and thought getting a bit of guidance from a pro would be a good idea.I found this book really useful, it is encouraging and motivational and makes me want to just get out there! It gives tips on nutrition, what to do if you have a niggle (runners knee etc) and tips on how to train, stretches etc. I am digesting as much as I can and it is such an easy book to read.
