Building Quantum Computers: A Practical Introduction

An eminently clear and balanced practical introduction to quantum computation.

This is a good and elementary intro to a major part of modern quantum engineering experiments. In particular, it covers most of the experimental platforms (but not all, the field is moving fast).

As an experimentalist in quantum optics, I found the optics chapters to be an excellent introduction to the field.

A must have for the reading list.
