I didn't know or saw that it came folded! Bit of a surprise when i received it. For the price, great product! I became a huge fan of its folding capability when i travelled up to London to see Beyonce Cowboy Carter, hence the hat, and i wanted to have the hat in my bag until i got to the venue. YOu do have smooth out the the front and back of the hat once unfolded but you couldnt tell once its on your head. I am a vane person, i had to dress for this gig on a budget, it really does look great once on!
