I cannot add much more than what others said about it (the good things), but I can say what I needed it for and how it worked out. TL;DR: I needed it to provide both a stable local WiFi LAN and high-speed T-Mobile "5G UC" Internet for my Samsung Android devices in my car. And it was a major success. FULL STORY I have all Samsung Android devices and use a Samsung account with them. I need them to network with each other while also having internet access. I used to do this by setting my phone as a hotspot and sharing data, and calling/texting with my tablet, which is mounted on my dashboard and connected to my car via Bluetooth. The problem is that T-Mobile reduces speed when using the phone as a hotspot for my tablet (or the phone just runs slower in hotspot mode). On my phone alone, with "5G UC," I can get a sustained 1.5 Gbps in some parts of town. But when the hotspot is running to feed data to the tablet, the speed drops to as slow as 5 Mbps and is unstable. This wasn't going to work. My first solution was to get a dedicated hotspot device, and I did try a couple that failed hard—Inseego and Netgear. I suppose they would be fine if you're taking it with you to a stationary environment, but I needed this to be seamless and on the go. This solution had major issues: 1. The hotspots were battery-powered, and this created an issue where you either have to manage them every time you need to use them, or leaving them unmanaged means the battery will drain. Or in some cases, you need to physically turn them on or wake them up. 2. The Inseego m3000 hotspot, for some reason, did not allow devices connected to it to see each other, therefore breaking my Samsung ecosystem between devices. 3. The Netgear Nighthawk hotspot refuses to connect to T-Mobile 5G at all, but the connected devices to it can see each other. 4. Both hotspots couldn't get a real signal unless it was in the open air, but the Inseego did do much better indoors since you can force it to only use 5G, where the Nighthawk will not let you switch, and it always defaults to 4G. So I was back to square one when my tests all failed. Then I discovered the Gl.net, read the specs, and it looked promising, so I got it. I moved my T-Mobile $30 25GB hotspot SIM to the new device, and it just worked. As a bonus, even inside my house, I can get stable 2-3 bars of 5G UC, where my phone can only get 1 bar (or it drops to 4G). When I confirmed my connection worked, I installed it in my SUV, in the back cargo area, under the floor (extra storage), using a 12V cig cable run under the floor to power this up. Now, when the car turns on, this turns on. When the car turns off, this turns off. No need to manage it, just set it and forget it. As it turns out, with a lot of testing, this was the solution to my problem, because: 1. It's not a hotspot, it's a real 5G/4G modem with real antennas, and it's a real Wifi router, so networked devices can see each other—all devices connected to it are on a real LAN. (Important for my Samsung Android setup.) And the WiFi signal itself in the SUV is strong. 2. It connects to T-Mobile 5G at home, in the car, on the road, and remains stable. Keyword: STABLE. 3. Not battery powered, turns on and off with the power source (like in a car). This means not having to set any battery saver or sleep options, which also means no need to manually turn it off and on each time I get in the car. 4. Doesn't need to be out in the open, it picks up signal and gets fast speeds on 5G UC, avg. about 150 Mbps from inside my SUV's cargo space, tucked under the floor. I would probably get 500+ Mbps if I used an external antenna mounted on top of my car, but I wasn't doing this for the fastest speeds, just something 50 Mbps+ and most importantly, a STABLE connection, which this has. For my use case, this was perfect. But the added bonus of it working at home really is great because sometimes I lose internet at home, and this serves as an awesome emergency backup. The only downside I've had so far is that when starting up, it can take a couple of minutes to actually connect to 5G and also advertise itself to my other devices so they can auto-connect. But that's not a deal breaker at all for me, just something that I wish was better. But it is much faster than both the Inseego and Netgear. Overall, it's been great for what I needed it to do, and even if I didn't need it for this specific use case, it's a good product for other uses.

Finalmente un prodotto che merita una recensione un pò più precisa visti i costi e obiettivo dell'acquisto Vado subito dritto al punto: perfetto per la mia esigenza di failover immediato da rete fibra a rete cellulare e ritorno alla connessione principale. Solo questo per me e per il mio caso specifico vale la spesa, visto che avevo necessità di un prodotto del genere e lo Spitz GL.iNet fa esattamente, e molto bene, quello che promette. Uso questo router in un contesto reale con NVR (videosorveglianza IP CAM non cablata e con alcune dipendenze cloud), dove perdere la connessione significa perdere eventi, notifiche e accesso remoto, anche a causa dell’instabilità di alcune camere legate appunto al cloud Tuya/Smart Life. Con lo Spitz il passaggio da fibra a rete cellulare è praticamente istantaneo: non ho perso frame, non ho perso eventi e, lato software, è come se la connessione non fosse mai caduta. Anche le camere restano stabili: la presenza continua di internet evita che vadano in “crisi”. Qui il failover non è marketing: funziona davvero, e anche molto bene. Mi aspettavo problemi lato NVR (freeze, schermate nere durante il cambio rete), invece nessuna interruzione visibile. Questo, nel mio caso, è oro. Per altri tipi di stream ad esempio uno streaming di una webradio ho notato la disconnessione e riconversione con un "bucho" sullo stream di almeno 5/10 secondi. Configurazione: È un dispositivo decisamente più avanzato rispetto ai classici modem/router consumer. Non è il tipico “attacca e vai”, ma proprio per questo offre un livello di controllo molto superiore: multi-WAN, priorità delle connessioni, controlli di connettività, VPN, AdGuard e molto altro. Se sai dove mettere le mani, puoi costruirti una rete estremamente solida e personalizzata. Specifico che non è un modem fibra, ma un router con modem LTE/5G integrato con 2 slot Sim e un sistema Failover integrato di buon livello considerando utilizzo consumer del dispostitivo Interfaccia: L’interfaccia di controllo è veloce, reattiva e ben organizzata. La dashboard è completa e chiara, con tutte le informazioni principali subito visibili. Nonostante le tante opzioni disponibili, non risulta confusa e permette di lavorare in modo preciso. Anche le app, Android e iOS sono veloci, complete e perfettamente funzionante. Stabilità: Dopo l’installazione ho fatto diversi test reali, anche forzando disconnessioni della fibra. Il sistema resta operativo senza interruzioni percepibili almeno lato NVR e camere IP wifi. Come detto sopra on traffico continuo attivo come ad esempio stream audio di una webradio il passaggio ha delle tempistiche quantificabile in 10 ma anche 15 secondi di default e poi riprende la normale erogazione Uso combinato: Io lo utilizzo insieme al modem/router principale (Fastgate), sul quale ho disabilitato il Wi-Fi. Lo Spitz gestisce il Wi-Fi e il fallback su SIM. Questo approccio è molto efficace: sfrutti la fibra quando disponibile e hai una rete cellulare pronta a subentrare immediatamente. SIM e rete mobile: Il doppio slot SIM è un valore aggiunto importante. Permette di usare due operatori diversi e aumentare ulteriormente la resilienza della connessione. Da considerare ovviamente i costi del piano dati associato alle SIM: meglio scegliere operatori affidabili per avere certezze a discapito dei costi di gestione. Il fatto di avere un sistema Failover sulla propria connessione internet presuppone costi maggiori Testato con sim 5G Vodafone e tutto funzionante Prestazioni Wi-Fi: Il Wi-Fi è buono e supporta Wi-Fi 6, ma non è il punto principale del prodotto. Questo dispositivo nasce per garantire continuità e gestione avanzata della rete. Se serve copertura Wi-Fi top, meglio affiancare access point dedicati. Funzioni: Le funzionalità sono molte e c’è ampio margine di personalizzazione. È un prodotto che permette di “smanettare” e adattare la rete alle proprie esigenze. Consumi e temperatura: Scalda leggermente, ma è normale per un dispositivo sempre attivo con modem integrato. Nessun problema riscontrato in uso reale. Contro: - Non è completamente plug & play per utenti inesperti (anche se ci sono setup guidati) - Interfaccia tecnica (per qualcuno potrebbe essere complessa) - Prezzo non basso, ma coerente con le funzionalità offerte Conclusione: Se cercate un router semplice, non è questo. Se cercate continuità reale, controllo e affidabilità, allora è un prodotto centrato. Per chi ha esigenze come videosorveglianza, accesso remoto o sistemi che devono restare sempre online, fa esattamente quello che promette — e lo fa molto molto bene. Promosso!

I don't often write reviews but having tried many different 4G/5G routers, I wanted to save you time by recommending this this GL.iNet router, which I have found to be by far the best. Firstly, the speed is between 3X and 10X faster than the others out of the box but using an external 4-way MiMo antenna doubles the speed again and provides and excellent broadband service in a a rural area with a less than ideal 4G signal. It is easy to set up but there are a lot of additional features, such as VPNs, the ability to tether to another network, and dual SIM failover to name a few. After nearly 2 years, it has been very stable and reliable until a couple of weeks ago when it suddenly stopped working. Having a good product is one thing but the support provided by GL.iNet has been superb. The support team are knowledgeable and responsive and after some troubleshooting sent out a replacement unit. It is not the cheapest 5G router by any means but if you are looking for a good performing router particularly as a replacement for a fixed line service if it isn't great in your area then look no further. The support is excellent and they come with a 24 month warranty.

Helt underbar router, den har allt som jag vill ha och lite till som jag inte behöver. Lätt att göra inställningar via webbläsare och appen är smidig om man vill ändra på något. Jag rekommenderar verkligen denna router om du är ute efter 1 kraftig router för backup eller 1 router för husbil/husvagn.

Ik kan iedereen deze leverancier aanraden. Het is een top product, de klantenservice is goed bereikbaar en je krijgt meteen antwoord, hier kunnen heel wat bedrijven een voorbeeld aan nemen.
