If at first you don't succeed .......
Yes indeed try try again, I have spent quite a bit of cash getting poached eggs right. Sounds daft, but it's sadly true, and puts me in firm top place of the dull men's club. Anyway, to the matter at hand. This product is great, yes it took a little getting used too, but I found that, if you use a wide pan with shallow water, ( not to shallow ) , bring it to boil , while it's doing that, I spray the eggs holders with some fry light, I then place them in the boiling water, with a lid on top ( that's the important bit I find ) then Alexa set timer 5 minutes, and SHAZAM ! Perfect poached eggs, when the 5 mins are up, i carefully empty any excess fluid from the holder, then place onto a piece of kitchen towel, and use a desert spoon to skim round the circumference of the poached egg, and you will find it comes out perfectly.

Poached eggs made easy
Really like the design of this product with the handle making the poacher easy to use. It is essential to accurate time the length of cooking as it is easy to either under or overcook the eggs. For me 6 minutes for a large egg is perfect with a firm outside but runny centre.

Disappointed waste of money.
In theory was really pleased with the concept. I struggle with fine motor in my wrist so the handle was a great appeal over other options. What I hadn't appreciated was the time it would take to poach 3 eggs ... 15 mins! Hence my low score. Came out hard and rubbery. I'm back to dropping the egg back into the boiling water for 3 mins and having a nice yolk, not hard. Disappointed.

Unstable in water
These looked to be ideal poachers, with a handle to make lifting them from the water easier than other poachers, and, being silicone they were non-stick. However the design, with a base curved practically to a point, prevented them from standing upright and thus decanting the egg into the water.

Makes perfect poached eggs.
It took me a few goes to get used to it, in terms of timing, how much water to use and how much to oil it, but I can now get poached eggs just as I like them every time. For some reason, the first few stuck a bit, but that doesn't happen now. The handle makes it easy to take out of the water, although it is no too hard to pull it out by the sides if the handle flops over as it does sometimes. I find that five minutes once it starts boiling, less than suggested in the instructions, gives the soft yolk I like. I prefer to use spray oil rather than the supplied brush.

Amazing! The handles make them so much easier to ...
Amazing! The handles make them so much easier to lift out the saucepan than the standard design, and the feet underneath means they will sit steady on the side until ready to plate up. I will never go back to the standard design ones after using these. 2 sprays of fry light and perfect saucer shaped eggs slipped right out.
