Clean the surface you are applying the suction cup to. It won't adhere well to any dirty surfaces. To enhance suction, a tiny dab of skin oil or cooking oil can be rubbed on the rim of the cup. Press the cup flat tight to the objects surface. Pressing down periodically to remove any air may have seeped in. Temperature and humidity variations may make a suction cup lose its grip. If bonded above 40? F/5? C the cup will provide the most reliable service from -22? to 120? F. The suction capacity is 3lbs. If you try heavy things on it, you may need 2 or more or go with larger size for the application. Only work well on clean, flat, smooth non porous surfaces, such as glass/window/mirror like finish wall/procelain tile/metal plate, etc. Do not work well on brick/stone/painted wood door/concrete/plastic surfaces. Always test a suction cup before hanging valuable items. If you want to hang anything too expensive with them, please use a suitable gauge clear fishing line and a few flat head thumb tacks nailed flat to the unseen top part of your door or the moulding of the ceiling.
