I was thrilled to see a direct replacement for such a low price. I'm not a carb master; but I have basic mechanical knowledge. The piece was indeed a direct fit. Everything installed perfectly. I poured in new gas; and BAM.. she started on the first pull. I cut two yards and had zero issues.Fast forward two weeks. I set up to cut the grass again; and she would not start. I pulled and pulled, and nothing. I checked the gas, and she was empty. I thought, that's weird. I filled up between yards. But oh well, let's fill her up. Again, I pulled and pulled with no results. Frustrated, I went in side to pour a glass of tea. When I came back out to try again; I noticed a gas pool on the driveway. I looked in the tank; and it was empty again. Huh??!!!Upon closer inspection, I noticed gas was steadily pouring straight out of the red plastic tube. Not sure how a carb works; but I know that's not supposed to happen. I'm not going to return; as it was a $10 mistake. But I certainly wouldn't try this product again.

Carb was unusable it leaked immediately. I called about return because it was so difficult to return and UPS would not take because it had gas run through it and smelled of gas. I called amazon, which they have a copy of recorded call, and was told to NOT RETURN carb since it did have gas run through it and I'd have to disassemble to clean out gas. Now I'm being charged for not returning.

The 640303 carb was recommended for my 2006 Toro. That's what I bought. As I indicated in a previous review, I couldn't get the engine idle to adjust down to proper speed. It ran wide open or not at all. Lawn mower motor froze up while trying to adjust, maybe because of the overspeed. The Toro mower went out on the curb Tuesday night along with two carbs and has been picked up by scavengers Wednesday before dawn. A new Craftsman with a Briggs & Stratton engine sits in my garage. Runs great. Case closed as far as I'm concerned.

After installing carburetor and filling gas tank ,on my lawn mower, fuel began leaking from the throat of the carburetor which means the needle and seat were not sealing. I removed the fuel bowl to free needle to correct issue i but when i tried to reinstall the fuel bowl found the gasket had swelled up so much that it was too large to be reinstalled, this means that it is not fuel rated material (buna-n). Also when removing carb noticed the "fuel line" sent was also not fuel rated and had started to soften when gasoline was inside it. I would not purchase this product.

Initially when i installed this on my lawn mower it leaked like a water hose through the Air filter.but, once i broke it down and inspected all seemed good. securely tighten the cover back ongave it some fuel and pump fuel into the carburetor it started right up. i let it run for 10 mins and i did not discover any leaks.tip from me replace the air filter and make sure the carburetor it tight when you receive the part.

Product was exactly as described. It took me about 30 minutes to install, maybe a little longer as there were no instructions. It's a direct replacement, so lack of instructions weren't a problem. I only had one issue which was the hose clamp for the fuel tank being too small. I reused the original and it worked just fine. After letting the fuel fill the filter and fuel lines, the mower started up and runs like new. Would definitely recommend.

The carburator functioned normally when running, but upon shut down, gas free flowed through carburator. This could not be resolved. The carburator needs to be returned which means me cleaning it up and drying it out. Unlikely to return to this vender. I wish they would send a replacement so that I didn't need to deal with cleaning this one up.

I ordered this last week and it came in very fast. I put in on my mower no problem and it worked amazingly compared to my last one. The only problem is that gas is leaking out of the bowl when im not using it, i would recomend buying a gas on/off switch so all of the gas does not leak out when you arent using it. Great carb though, it only took about 20-30 minutes to put on and it started within the first 5 pulls, didnt even have to use starting fluid!
