Solid backpack for the price.
My setup is more expensive and premium than the average buyer of this bag, but that's just me I guess, as I got this to be the outer shell of my primary tech bag/survival business bling setup ;-) I carry an assortment of premium bags and carry ons from Tumi, a curated selection of electronic music gear and samplers and synthesisers, handheld laptops (3 pieces), guitar FX processors, loopers, Fjall raven document bag, Ogon leather wallet, 1TB hard disks and other adaptors, slimline power banks, documents and certificates and so on. Needless to say I did my research for such EDC/bugout years ago and practiced it during my world travels in some pretty challenging avenues too. So how does this bag put up? I would say pretty well. Some other customers have mentioned that the bag has no spine (!) and straps are not exactly comfortable, and that is true for the most part. However, if you are like me and have used bags in plénitude, you would do something like what I am doing which is put your existing setup inside this dry bag as the weather shell. So I effectively have all the items mentioned above packed to perfection and vacuum sealed with a moisture absorber inside, and then I kept that sealed bag inside this Spigen bag. Benefits are, multi layered waterproofing, weather resistance and moisture proofing, bug and fungus resistance and so on. I also sprayed the insides with a sanitizer alcohol spray to remove mildew formation and bad smells. With this setup the bag absolutely has a spine and a well formed shape to begin with. I also locked the buckles using a good quality combination wire lock and now my entire travel setup (one main bag to be clear, from 4 others) geared towards tech and music is ready for deployment (milspec style :).I would do another thing, for future flights I hate carry on checks done by hand so I am going to even further modularize this setup by packing smaller items into their own vacuum sealed zip locks so that I can wash them on reaching destination.Your shoulders will pain if you carry this too long, the Tumi backpack I put inside the Spigen can be carried for the whole damn day without a back ache. That's the difference right there. But Spigen gives you the weather shelling you always wanted, and in that department it does the job nonetheless. It's my first Spigen purchase and I think I am going to be a customer in future too. I should mention that the bag comes in a slim bag as well, that bag itself can be used as an ancillary laundry dry bag or something like that. It's good quality too for light items and it's always nice to have packages that can be reused as an alternative to throwing it away.Considering that I mostly invest in high end upscale stuff I am actually happy with this one particular purchase. I am also happy not to splurge for more expensive bags in this genre just to water proof my other bling bags. I am also happy with the design overall, keeps my tech bag look intact.
