The ports are only 12V DC. The high voltage is a separate board and has a physical barrier inside to isolate the high voltage from the low voltage side to prevent accidental shorting. All the usable ports are 12V DC.

About 1.1 amp per channel You have total of 20 Amp unit Depends how many cameras you have and how many amps each camera requires.

I really Don't understand your question, as i understand, the box is 18 channels and 12V, the 5A you mention is the power capacity. If you install 18 cameras on a 5A Power box, it may work during the day, but at night the cameras will shut off because at night they draw more power done to the Night vision. if you use 18 cameras, you need at least 20A to go safe. each camera draw approximately 700ma. so my recommendation is that you use a 18 ch, 12V, 20A power box, or use less cameras.
