Bubbly and quiet overall.
Mine came in the mail with a minor chip on the bottom of the line where the Stone was attached. I used it for MONTHS and nothing has happened. The suction worked well! The noise it gave off was as minimal as a bubbler is... it produces A LOT of little bubbles and definitely provides oxygen in the tank. The only downfall was... my suction cup wouldn’t stick long so I ended up tanking it to the tank... this did nothing to the pump.

Great addition to my 5.5 gallon
It's been a great addition to my 5.5 gallon, glass fish tank. It's extremely quiet and it was very easy to setup. Because of the way I setup my fish tank area, it's out of the way, yet easily accessible and I'm able to see if something's wrong with it or the tubing. I didn't think I'd need one for such a small fish tank but it's really helping out my filter by circulating the water from the opposite end. Adding live plants or shrimp is now more of a possibility. I'm impressed and happy with it and my fish has been investigating it and he doesn't seem too upset with the change in the water circulation. Great quality, I recommend it!

Works for Aerogarden, no airstone provided
So I like the pump, it's actually really quiet. The bubbles are louder than the pump. I am using it for hydroponics in my 2.6L Aerogarden Harvest tank to supply extra oxygen to my plant roots.Pros:- quiet- good for a very small tank- low wattageCons:- the suction cup on the back of the pump already fell off my tank a few times (installed today), it doesn't seem too strong. We'll see how it goes. EDIT: I wiped the suction cup with some water and applied it again, and now it's sticking good. Something about the water helps it stick.- my kit didn't come with an air stone. good thing I had one on hand, but the seller should have better quality control.Summary: If it weren't for the missing air stone I would have given 5 stars but can't give 5 when it's missing parts.

Finally! Quiet Pump!
I finally found a quiet pump! I work at home and I have a beta tank next to my desk. The pump I was using was quite loud and although I could ignore it most of the time, when I did pay attention, it annoyed me. This little pump is super quiet. The stone is a bit large, so I may opt to purchase a smaller one since my tank is not that big. My Beta "Val" was hiding and didn't want to be put on Amazon, but I know he will love the silence as well. I would recommend this if you have a tank at least 1 gallon and up.

Compact and inexpensive...
Works well after a few months. Not terribly quiet but for the price and size it gets 5 stars.

Fluctuating Noise Use with Sponge Only
This is a great low energy air pump. It works fantastically with a small sponge filter. However, I tried to use it with a corner filter, a small one with sponge and charcoal. With the corner filter this pump definitely got loud on occasion. I would say the noise coming from it tended to fluctuate. I noticed most of the noise from it was carrying through the bubbles/water. The machine itself isn’t that loud, but they bubbles kindof amplify whatever fluctuations are happening in the air output. I’m super sensitive to changing noise/ a light sleeper, and there were nights where I wanted to unplug the thing. I finally switched it with a noisier but constant air filter. Then I tried it with a sponge only, and it was much better.

Works, but...
It's small and it works, but it isn't that quiet. Maybe I got a bad one?
